About 6 months before leaving for our cruise to alaska, I looked up a number of companies that did the Misty Fjords tour by seaplane. We decided to go with Seawind Aviation with owners Steve and Lesley Kamm. Let me say this, these are two of the nicest and most honest people you'll ever meet. We were picked up at... more

While visiting Ketchikan, Alaska, I took a floatplane tour of Misty Fjords National Monument. It was spectacular! Perfect flying weather that day helped, of course, but so did the wonderful skill of the pilot, Mike. This is the way to see this enormously beautifull and magnificent natural wonder. It is fjords mountain lakes waterfalls peaks valleys rock faces snow capped mountains . But if you can rent a float plane for as long as you can afford . I would stay all day if I could . And if you have a nice pilot maybe... more
