Description: Come aboard the "Aleutian Ballad" crabbing vessel as seen on season 2 of...
Come aboard the "Aleutian Ballad" crabbing vessel as seen on season 2 of the Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch". Depart Ketchikan Alaska for a 3 hour trip to catch king crab, snow crab, octopus, fish, prawns and more. This tour also features some of the best eagle viewing on the planet. Share the allure and adventure that draw fishermen to the sea. Fishing legends that have worked the Bering Sea are your guides, some you may have seen on TV. The vessel has been retrofitted for guests comfort and fun, with a "live" tank on deck to allow for closer viewing of the wondrous creatures brought on board. Guests stay warm, dry and comfortable while we sail calm and protected waters. This is the REAL ALASKA and you won't want to miss it!

AWESOME! The experience was so great. We learned a lot about crab fishing, as well as salmon and crawfish and prawn fishing!! My boys (ages 16 and 14) haven't stopped talking about it! The crew was so friendly and full of great fishig stories! One of the best things we did while visiting Alaska!

I loved this tour. I took my wife and 3 kids 14-20 as well as my parents (76 and 79). It was a cold drizzly day.. but the boat was warm thanks to the heaters in the boats outdoor amphitheater. The crew members were genuine and endearing.. it didn't feel scripted like some reviewers said. Yes, I'm sure they say... More

This was an awesome "experience"! We don't like calling it a tour - it was much more than that. The fact that the 3 men working had a combined 100 years history of crab fishing, (some even on this boat) made this the real deal. You stay in calm waters but still watch as they pull up actual crab pots.... More

Have taken many tours on our two vacations in Alaska. This is by far the best we have experienced. Captain Dave and the crew were awesome. Learned about the industry, the sea creatures up front and live, eagles eating fish right in front of us and the storytelling experiences of the crew make it personal. Would give a six rating... I saw deadliest Catch a few times but did not go just for that but to learn more about the industry and the dangers these men face on the fishing boats. We participated in this excursion on Friday, 21 Aug while in port in Ketchikan, AK. It turned out to be a sunny day and the crew took us out... More

Possibly the best excursion if our long vacation. The team on board were so informative, as well as entertaining and welcoming. To then witness some great catches, including king crab, octopus, rock fish was spectacular. We also had the opportunity to view bald eagles close up as they fed from the boat. Highly recommended.

I was really hoping this tour would live up to the good reviews and it did! The entire crew was friendly and engaging. Their stories, demonstrations and customer service are all top notch. The ship is comfortable and we chose seats on the second level off to the side. We had a great view of all the action on deck... More

This had been our first time to Alaska and it was a great trip. We booked this tour through Bering Sea Crab Fishermans Tour due to it being cheaper than through the cruise line we were on. They met us on the pier and directed us right to their boat. They had people along the way giving directions with nice... More

While this is no longer a full functioning crab boat (and therefore much safer), we were able to see what happens on a crab boat first hand under relaxed and mild weather conditions. The stories and insights from the crew made this an overall fun excursion. In addition to the crab pots and seeing first hand how they are placed... More
