My wife and I booked this tour prior to a cruise as it was the only wheelchair accessible boat that was listed in the many many whale watching tours in Juneau. Upon our arrival we were met by our driver and a little temperamental wheel chair accessible minibus which ferried us the shirt ride out to Auke Bay, which is... More

We booked this tour on the recommendation of a friend, not through the cruise ship. The boat was very comfortable and not over booked with passengers. This allowed everyone to enjoy the sights without having to fight for space. Captain Larry was knowledgable and friendly-loved his colorful stories. He was cautious and respectful about getting too close to the whales,... More

There are many whale watching companies in Juneau, but Orca Enterprises is one of the oldest and still the best. Captain Larry has spent most of his adult life on the ocean, and has forgotten more about marine mammals than the other guys will ever know. He is just a wealth of knowledge. He supports marine research and is an... More

It can be confusing as there are many companies doing the whale watching tour. But if you are thinking if its safe to do a tour with a private company i would recommend it. We are very happy we booked with this company. As we arrived to check in the lady who owns the company told us a special speaker... More

We booked this tour ourselves, not through the cruise ship. This company was recommended by a few locals we met while in Juneau and we were not disappointed. Because the tour is not offered by the ships, the tour groups are much smaller than other excursion boats. We only had 6 people on our tour, but the boat could have... More

I took forever trying to decide who to do our whale watching excursion with. I was nervous as they said the boat could accomodate 80, but they tried to cap it out at 40 and they told me it was halfway to that when I booked. I was pleasantly surprised however when we went out there were only 6 of... More

Orca was recommended to us, and we were not disappointed. They suggested a combination of trips for us in Juneau - whale watching and then the MENDENHALL GLACIER. Totally amazing. We were picked up and returned to our ship in the exact time frame they said. The best part was WHALES!! We saw them, took pictures and laughed at the... More

Just finished whale watching on the Orca Odysea. Fantastic trip. Saw five incredible bubble netting displays by a 9 whale pod. Captain Larry and Kelly and Matt were awesome!!! Would do it again in a heartbeat.

The staff answered my inquiries on a frequent basis in a positive manner as I was trying to juggle my schedule. The small number of people on the whale watching boat was superb. Captain Larry is so knowledgable---don't miss this whale watching event. The Salmon Bake was neat--salmon cooked over an open fire in a neat wooded area. The setting... More

Orca gave us a great whale watch/glacier combo trip. Boat was perfect with both indoor, outdoor back deck and upper outside viewing spots. About 30 people on boat was the right size. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Saw seals, orcas and humpbacks (both with babies) on our trip. The baby humpback breeched several times. Auke Bay was gorgeous, with calm... More
