We saw at least a dozen humpbacks, with one breaching. It was a spectacular sight. The crew were very helpful and knowledgable. The trip was significantly cheaper than booking through the cruise line. After the whale watch, a bus dropped us off at the Mendenhall glacier, which I also reccomend!

We had a fabulous time with Captain Ken, Rachel, and Brenden on our whale watching adventure. The staff was especially polite and attentive and provided an excellent overview of what we were seeing. My children and I learned a lot and were especially impressed by the gracefulness of the humpback we saw jump out of the water!

Rachel and Captain Ken had a spidey sense for locating some great whales, even catching a breeching whale (I was looking for a sea lion so missed that special shot). We were all really impressed and had a great time. Top notch outfit. "So much fun!", said Josh, the 12 year old nephew.

We were on a cruise, but booked this trip at the harbour side. About half a dozen mini kiosks selling various trips. I normally steer clear of this type of selling, but the guy Cory was very friendly and wasn't at all pushy. The trip was about 30 dollars cheaper than if we had purchased on the ship.Decided to go... ... For people who hate seeing whales! This tour was fantastic. My grandfather and I went for his 80th birthday as part of an Alaskan adventure. He is exceptionally hard to please, but he easily said that the whale tour through Juneau Whale Watch was the best part of our whole trip. Michelle was our Naturalist and Ambassador to the... More

We took this tour as a ship excursion. It seemed a bit pricey to me, but all the excursions did. We had a great time. The weather cooperated so we had many gorgeous views. They do try their best to find as many whales as they can for you while following all the policies/procedures about whale watching. We took pictures... More

Thank you, Dirk and Michelle, for the incredibly exciting excursion on July 15 during our Alaska cruise! Unforgettable memories of these giant mammals who showed off especially to us (at least, that's what we thought), the travelers from Arizona. A perfect day, nice fellow travelers, and lots and lots of inside information from Michelle who let us feel her love... More

Just got back from 2 hour excursion with Capt. Ken, and deck hands Michelle and Brendan. Very informative and friendly. Guaranteed us whales and did not lie! Watched in awe as whales came right up to greet us and even got to see one breech!!! If I could take all my friends and family again I would. Definitely a must... More

My husband and I took the Best of Juneau Whale Watching, Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake Excursion in Juneau Alaska. Wow, Great Excursion! Our bus driver was very knowledgeable and funny, we really enjoyed the ride over to boat, the glacier and back to the dock. The whale-watching boat and crew were awesome. The boat was roomy and very comfortable,... More

I just returned from 7 DAY ALASKA cruise with Princess Cruises with my 8 year old grandson. We arranged a Photo safari and whale watching excursion with Gastineau Guiding in Juneau, Alaska, our first port of call. Our guide Brian Hild and out captain were awesome. Brian was patient, interesting and communicated excellent photo taking skills to our 11 person... More
