Very enjoyable, however dog sled was not available, apparently too early in the season 1st-2nd week in May. Dog Sled camps were not set up due to snow. so we just landed on the glacier and took a 20min walking tour. Not exactly what we wanted, but a great experience nontheless. On the heliocopter you could be 1 of 4... More

This tour truly deserves "Bucket List" status. Superlative words cannot do justice to the scenery, so I will focus on the experience. From the moment of liftoff to final touchdown we were transported to another world, both visually and emotionally. Standing silently beneath a majestic ice fall cannot be described without the word "spiritual". Our pilot, Chip, was exceptionally warm... More

We took the Pilots choice tour on our vacation this summer and this was my favorite experience of the many wonderful places we visited. The beauty and sheer immensity of the glacier is overwhelming. Flying over the glacier is an incredible experience by itself and the pictures just don't do it justice. They don't convey just how vast it is.... More

To say that the Temsco "Pilot's choice" helicopter tour was a trip of a lifetime would be an adequate begining to a review that must include words like awe, amazing, breathtaking, majestic, fantastic, da bomb. It brought tears to eyes and smiles to faces. And after the 2 hours was over, it brought 1 question to mind........."does it really have... More

First, I booked the tour through Dolly Varden, rather than through the ship. Temsco didnt offer opportunity for direct booking. Still, saved about $70 a person through Dolly Varden as opposed to the cruse line. As far as the excursion...was a rainy day...thought either it would be off or it would not be good with the weather. Wrong, it was... More

Flying in a helicopter is amazing, then landing on a glacier and exploring is incredible. Learning has never been so fun. The staff is so friendly and educating as you have the time of your life. Pay to go all the way to Alaska and then skimp on the excursions makes no sense. You only live once, do it all!! More

Until we did the Temsco Pilot's Choice tour, I had only seen two truly awe inspiring sites, (first glimpse at the Hong Kong Skyline and walking out to the rim of the Grand Canyon for the first time), now I can count three. Words and pictures cannot accurately describe the experience of flying over, landing on and walking on glaciers.... More
