We booked an Icefield Excursion with coastal helicopter on our own for when we were in port in Juneau on our cruise, instead of through the cruise. This saved us about $100 per person. Coastal was recommended by my sister who had flown with an outstanding pilot two years ago. 7 passengers arrived for the same takeoff time. My husband and I booked a helicopter excursion through Shore Trips. It was incredible to actually walk on a glacier. Our pilot was very enthusiastic about the area and found a waterfall on the glacier as we were walking around. I would definitely recommend this trip. It is expensive but a once in a lifetime experience. More
