This is a lifetime experience.Stunning views of the lake and glacier from the helicopter .Visibility at the glacier wasn't the best so we landed down it a bit and were collected by a snowmobile that accommodated 8 or 9 of us for a fun bumpy ride. Sledding with the husky's on a glacier is an amazing and unforgettable experience.

I agree with all the reviewers about this wonderful trip, so it's tough to add anything that others haven't already mentioned. Yeah, it's expensive but not unreasonably so. I'm a pilot myself and I know what it costs to operate and maintain helicopters. Here's a suggestion; no guarantee it'll lower the cost but it'll be worth your time in a... More

This experience is a must when traveling to Juneau Alaska. If dog sledding is not on your bucket list, than add it to the TOP! First off, yes, it is expensive BUT so worth the experience not too mention the views! Did I mention the views.......... (see photos) The helicopter ride was smooth and the trip has stunning views of... More

I toured with this company while in Juneau this August. It was one of the best excursions I ever took. We took the helicopter up to Mendenhall Glacier - about a 15 minute ride - and landed on the glacier where we took the dog sledding for about 45 minutes with 4 to a sled. A suggestion I would make... My family and I took the helicopter ride (Temsco) to the top of the glacier. The views are fantastic. Once at the sled camp they are happy to answer any questions you may have. They load you up on a sled with one of the mushers and you're off doing a loop at the top of the glacier. You learn... More

The helicopter/dog sled tour in Juneau was a keenly anticipated highlight on our APT 22 day Canadian Rockies/Alaska cruise tour, and we were not disappointed. We were blessed by a remarkably sunny clear day, and the whole tour was characterised by friendly staff, starting with timely departure from our cruise ship/wharf pick up, "processing" at the helicopter base, and marvellous... We were collected from our cruise ship and taken to the heliport. The helicopter trip over mendenhall glacier was brilliant and you really appreciate how massive the glacier is. You see a spot in the distance which turns out to be the dog camp. Landing on the glacier was great and you are greeted by what seems like a million... More

We've been many places and been on many great excursions but this one was amazing! Our first helicopter ride was awesome and awe inspiring. The site of the Mendenhall Glacier from the air was absolutely breathtaking. Then we saw the dog camp from the air. I think the dogs were as excited to see us as we were to see... More

Guests for an Alaska cruise are usually of older age. If you travel with kids and teenager or would like to try something more interesting, dog-sledding is for you. My two sons had so much fun. A 10-minute helicopter ride took you to the glacier where the huskies and their trainers live. The dogs are so cute and absolutely crave... More

Most amazing excursion when you are in Juneau. 10 minute helicopter ride to the top of the glacier where the sled dogs are raised and trained. The glacier is majestic and spellbinding. Once in a lifetime event
