Again, this was a Princess Cruise choice. I lloved it. It rained the entire time, but I still enjoyed it. The dogs are big strong muts that absolutely love to run. They are anxious to get moving and don't seem to have a problem pulling the "sled." Even packed with overweight softies. Amazing animals and it was interesting to learn... More

My husband and I did this tour while we were in Alaska. Thisntour offered panning for gold and meeting the sled dogs. There was a ton of kids there, but overall it was a fun experience. The proprietor Matt, obviously loves what he does and loves his dogs!!!

I went on this tour to see huskies and or malamutes being the owner of one, there are none there. These dogs are cross breeds bred for racing the Iditarod, they are not pets. Save this sledding for the snow, going in a cart is just not the same. I'm just a softie so this one was not for me.

It was a pouring chilly rain for just about the entire trip. We still had a blast. Our guide Maliko was excellent. She gave us a lot of time with the dogs prior to hook them up. The ride was a lot of fun and she explained what the dogs were doing as the ride went a long. She explained... More

On my "bucket list" trip to Alaska - we included this Gold Rush Dog Sled Tours excursion as part of our Disney Alaskan cruise. My partner and I - along with our son and a friend chose this adventure because we are huge dog lovers. The transportation to the venue included a friendly driver who had lots of great local... Our family had a fantastic experience on our dog sled tour. All of us enjoyed listening to James speak about his experience training the dogs and racing in the Iditarod. Holding the baby huskies was the highlight of my kids vacation. We had rain during our visit, but this did not take away from our experience.

This was a great tour, but a bit pricey. If you love dogs then it is totally worth it. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. You can see the dogs, pet the dogs and hold the puppies. It was amazing to see 13 dogs pull a 600lb wheeled sled with 8 people in it and pull it pretty fast. To... More

Matt was a great tour guide into the world of dog sledding. He has run the Iditarod before and his tour talk really made you understand how hard it is. The dogs were great and really live to run.
