Excellent Information from escorts, Driver and host ALEX. even though overcast and a little rainy. Alex knew everything Juneau and Alaska, wildlife just everything in general. That whole excursion was great.

There were only 12 of us in the group- two families. Our guide, Molly, was enthusiastic, energetic and very knowledgeable about the forest, the glacier, the city and the whales. We began our trip with a drive through "the road" (literally the only main road in Juneau, which dead-ends in both directions) to about a one-hour hike/walk through the rain... More

We did the nature trail and whale watching. Our guide was John, and he was just amazing! I had my two boys (9 and 12) with me, and he was great with them throughout the whole day. He was so interesting and knowledgeable that I could have listened to him for a week straight. Our boat captain was also John,... More

Great photography tips from our guide, Conlin Peacock. I was able to get some terrific photos of whale breaches, mountain scenery, a waterfall, glacier, and rainforest. Well worth the time and money.

We went whale watching and glacier viewing with Bree on a "brochure" day in Juneau. The trip was well organized, comfortable, and very informative. We had many opportunities to see whales and to photograph them through raised windows. Our snack was fine and the walk we took to the glacier was full of great explanations about the relationship of the... More

I guide photo tours all over the country and some other countries, too. The service, the people, and the adventure that Gastineau Guiding provides is superior to every other guiding service I've used. I have probably been guided by at least ten of there staff and each one is better than the last. They are knowledgable, happy, and willing to... More

We did a Glacier/Whale Watching tour with Tristan from Gastineau Whale Watching. He was so incredibly informative. He's was a biology major so we got a lot of information about WHY Alaska flora/fauna is the way it is. It was a bit of a hike to the lake by the Mendenhall glacier but it flew by! So far so good.... We went on the "Discover Alaska's Whales" excursion with Jordy as our guide, and it was awesome! While out, we saw a few humpback whales, a bald eagle, and some sea lions. The best part of our trip, however, was finding a pod of 4 orcas, which included 3 adults and a younger orca. They put on quite a show... More

We took a Gastineau Guiding Princess Cruises shore excursion that combined a walk through the other worldly temperate rainforest where you view Mendenhall Glacier and then drive to the marina for time in a small boat on the water whale watching. Brenda, our guide for both sections of the tour was knowledgeable and most informative. The walk through the rainforest... More

My husband and I went on the Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching tour on July 15th and it was the most amazing experience! Cait and Scott were our guides. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and excellent tour guides. Scott had great stories and knowledge. We even ate foliage on our hike! While whale watching we were captained by Captain Scotty..... He... More
