We took the shuttle from the downtown Alaskan Brewery store out to the brewery which is about 4-5 miles away. It costs only 15 bucks and once you get there the beer samples are all free! You get to try the beers while they give a talk about the brewery and how they created the beers. The smoked porter is... More

My family enjoyed this trip from our Norwegian cruse line stop in Juneau, Alaska. We had a great time and very much enjoyed the excursion. We highly recommend the trip.

The FREE guided beer tasting includes generous samples of four varieties on tap. The "guide" shares the brewery's history and describes the beer sampled, and the entire experience lasts approximately 40 minutes. While others have been disappointed, we found it to be interesting and entertaining, especially given the price and time commitment. Sara was an enthusiastic brewery representative and storyteller... We had rented a car for the day and combined this with a visit to the Shrine of St. Therese and the salmon hatchery. I definitely recommend it, although we were expecting a tour which this is not. This is a free beer tasting. There was a young woman who spoke about the history of the brewery and how the... More

I have loved Alaskan Beer since my first trip to Alaska. Lucky enough to maintain my love affair with Alaskan Beer in my home state of Minnesota. When I got the chance to go to the brewery on my second trip to Alaska, I was so excited. We went into the tasting room to do a tour of four beers... More

As mentioned by others, not really a tour just a quick intro to the Alaskan brewery and then a free invitation to taste as much beer as you can! We paid the $15 for the Liquid Alaska tours from downtown Juneau, mostly just a shuttle out to the brewery, please note that they can't take kids that require a car... More

Just a wonderful example of good folks, community and small business doing well. Keeping it real if you will, long term employees treated well and they all contribute to making very good beer. What I am saying is that this is more than just a brewery, you want big, fancy, corporate don't bother. You want down home Alaska, yeah come... More

Not really a tour. We stood in a small room and listened to the"guide" explain the history of the brewery. The samples were pretty good and I had extra since the others in my group weren't beer drinkers. Try the smoked beer. Interesting. Other wrote they saw a video. We didn't. But I did get two souvenir glasses (was supposed... More

Fabulous free beer. Very interesting enterprise. We watched a short interesting movie about the history of the company and had a delightful time talking with some employees and locals.

This was our second trip there, we went 12 years ago on our first Alaskan cruise. The staff is always very welcoming and fun to hang out with. The beer is simply amazing!
