M&M Local Tours is great. Operated by locals who actually live in the area, some for generations. They are very reasonable and knowledgeable. Plus the addition of genuine Alaskan hospitality, just adds to the positive adventure and experience.

Beautiful, loved the gorgeous blue color. Wished I could have had enough time to get to Nugget Falls. Will visit again on my next trip. Bathrooms available to use.

WE took the shuttle ($20 round trip/each) and walked along the wood path along the creek, and the dirt path to the falls,...both were easy walks and worth the view of the glacier close up and the creek with salmon.

If you like to hike there's a good chance to go around to a waterfall and get some great pictures. If not you can go into the visitor center and get some great pictures.

We did a hike up to it. Tedious hike with few overviews. Still, can't see much from visitors center. Better options near Seward and if on cruise ship.

This is one of the most beautiful sights. The size of the glacier is massive. There are small icebergs in front in the glacial lake. To the side is a small waterfall. You can walk down the path and get close or go in the Visitor's Center and get a view higher up. I recommend both. The glacier has greatly... More

Living 1 mile away, I can take advantage of the quiet summer evenings after tourists return to the ships to look for bears, porcupine, birds, and hike the peaceful grounds: Nugget Falls and East Glacier trail. But I love going there with the bustle of the visitors as well to walk and talk with them. A few have hiked along... More

A must see when visiting Juneau. Provided a good lesson about receding glaciers due to global warming impact. We recommend viewing video in visitor's center. Beautiful waterfall next to glacier provides great pix opportunities.
