It was absolutely breath taking and unreal to visit. We booked through Temsco and got to ride up there and walk around with a tour guide, I loved every second. It was cold but so much fun, we even drank glacier water up there, amazing must do - put it on the bucket list. It's like going to a different... More

We had gone on the 26 Glacier Tour in Whittier and were on a cruise that took us through Glacier Bay a couple days earlier, so you think, why would we go out of our way to see another glacier? Well, this is not a case of if you've seen one glacier, you've seen them all. Each is so spectacular... More

Truly, our trip to Mendenhall Glacier was so good the first cruise, we decided to go back on the second of our B2B cruises! It is a beautiful place to see God's creation of the earth and all it's glory. The glacier is mammoth and the force from the water at Nugget Falls is really magnificent. We enjoyed our little... The scenery was great. We did not have enough time to explore. The visitors center was good and interesting. We enjoyed the film and displays. We didn't have time to hike very far.

This was our third time to Mendenhall Glacier and it was a perfect day, no rain. The view was so beautiful and it was just a perfect day. I would suggest that if on a cruise and in Alaska, go and see the glacier. They have a good visitors center and you are able to walk towards a water fall... More

Beautiful sunny day to hike around the Tongass National Forest by the Mendenhall Glacier and the Nugget Trails to get up close to the Nugget Falls and the Mendenhall Glacier. Enjoyed the movie in the visitors center and viewing the area with their telescopes.

Mendenhall Glacier is one of those don't miss attractions in Juneau. I last visited here in 1999 and was stunned to see this summer how much the glacier has retreated over the year. We rented a car and drove here first thing on our trip and beat all the crowds and shore excursions. We payed a few bucks to go... More

Nice stop for an hour or two. The Glacier is beautiful and be sure and get the history in the ranger station. Did not have enough time to hike to the falls but looked like it is worth doing if you have an extra hour.

We did a beautiful hike in the hills around the Mendenhall Glacier visitor's center. It took us up in the hills by waterfalls and through the lush temperate rain forest. We did it through an excursion from our cruise ship, but it could be done just by taking the shuttle to the glacier and crossing the street to the trailhead.... More

This was amazing! The beautiful blue glacier was so majestic that it almost seemed surreal as the ice floated on the water. Plenty of opportunities to take photos.
