This was the third time I have had the pleasure of going out with Keith. I was so fortunate to have been referred to him, from ship naturalist Dirk, over 10 years ago. Sadly, I don't get to Hoonah often enough. :( I treasure Keith's genuine manner and am humbled by his hard working expertise. He tries extremely hard to... More

I just got back from my Alaskan Cruise and I couldn't wait to write this review! Before getting on our cruise I wanted to make sure we were going to get the best out of the money we spent! As everyone would want to do after spending a few thousand dollars on the cruise alone! I looked up a few... More

My husband and I did a tour of Hoonah and the surrounding area with TECKK in September 2014. This was, hands down, the best tour/cruise excursion we took in Alaska and has provided us with memories that will not soon be forgotten! When we disembarked at Icy Strait Point, I knew we were on the right tour when we bypassed... More

The boat utilized for this tour is the family's fishing boat, which has limited visibility, no bathroom facilities and is quite uncomfortable. The location of the boat versus the whales requires a at least an hour and 15 minute ride to whales feeding grounds out of a three hour tour. The aluminum boat bangs up and down on the waves... More

My son and I had a wounded foul time out on the whale tour and also seen several bears on ou tour. Both our guidance were very knowledgeable about the history of Hoonah and it's native people. Can't wait to come back

Torsten and Payton took a small group of about 8 of us on our bear search. They were punctual, personally greeted everyone as we arrived, and told us about themselves, their beautiful island and the animals that live here as we drove the 10 miles or so to Game Creek. As we neared a bridge another tour group with a... More

Thanks Keith and Sons, for another fabulous bear tour on Chichagof Island. We saw bears, sitka deer, eagles and met some more of your Tlingit cousins. This is my 4th tour with you and it was another fantastic trip. It is always a pleasure to spend time with you and your sons. Every time I come I have a deeper... More

The first day I arrived in Hoonah I went out on the TECKK Outfitters' whale watching tour and had a very nice boat ride while out in search of the whales. We saw plenty of Humpbacks and I got some good photos of whale tails. We also saw porpoises and other sea life. Captain Killian was very good at moving... More

Our group of 13 enjoyed the combination trip of whale watching and bear viewing. This is a family owned outfitting company with many family members working and guiding. We saw lots of whales and some of our group saw bears up close and personal, including a small grizzy cub climb a tree. This company is not as well organized as... More
