We weren't really fishing just catching. Throw your line over and haul up your halibut. We shipped home 27 & 1/2 pounds. It was great. The boat had 21 people on board. The crew was great. I would rather be in a six passenger boat but the cost on this boat fit our budget better. We were out just the... More

This tour was well organized and easy to book and find the boat. I enjoyed it from start to finish with enough time in Seldovia to look around, have lunch and a coffee and see the sights. The staff have to deal with a large number of people from a lot of different nationalities and they are super helpful, provide... More

We live in the area and love to support local businesses so we chose Rainbow Tours to show some visiting family members around Seldovia in early July. The boat was full but everyone still had plenty of room to move about. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can expect to see plenty of sea otters, various birds, seals, etc. I... More

Our family of 4 (10 & 13 year old boys) went with Rainbow Tours on their 1/2 day fishing trip. The good news is that we caught our limit, and have about 50 lbs of halibut in our freezer at home. We ate some halibut yesterday and it was delicious. The bad news is that there wasn't enough staff for... More

There were 21 people and 3 crew on the boat and it was VERY crowded. At one time we had 6 lines tangled. Everyone did catch their limit of 2 Halibut. For the most part the crew was friendly and helpful. The boat was clean and had inside cabin with tables and booths. This was over the 4th. of July... More

Husband and I took our 12-year-old daughter on this 1/2 day halibut fishing trip. There were 20 people on the boat we took out (Jackpot) and between us trying to manage and help out our daughter, it was almost too much to take on. The crew was super nice and helpful, but I just think managing 20 people fishing is... More

Rainbow Tours is what the locals use and they are wonderful. I've ridden on it several times when non-profits have events across the bay. There's no place on this boat that you can't see the beautiful scenery. The crews are alway helpful and friendly. You're supporting a great local business that supports his community.

Went a 1/2 day with them in 2012, it was great. Went with someone else close by in 2013, big mistake. Looking forward to another trip with Rainbow in 2014.

We did the half day halibut fishing on the Sizzler and it was great. The crew was really nice and helpful and worked really hard to make our experience pleasurable. We all caught the limit and are now eating our catch at home. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend Rainbow.

Indoor booths and tables, and a couple cushioned rows of outdoor back deck seating, great crew to talk to for each section of the boat, delicious cocktails, clean head and smooth ride on this boat. Great wildlife spotter in the Captain, and his narration, up close to bird rookery and the sea otters, excellent knowledge of the historical property owners... More
