We booked the Seldovia tour on our first day in Homer. The crew was excellent..Madeline and Victoria were exceptionally nice especially to our 9 year old. On Tuesday we did a half day halibut fishing trip and again it dis not disappoint. We caught our limit , the crew filleted our fish and we packaged as recommended. When we go... More

This was a fabulous day! The staff was quite knowledgeable and extremely friendly and helpful. We were thrilled with the abundance of wildlife viewed. Seldovia was a quiet town. We had a average meal, (surprisingly no seafood on the menu), saving ourselves for the bakery and it was closed! Highlight was talking with the local fishermen as they changed their... More

The captain took time to enjoy the sights on the way to Seldovia. We were extremely blessed with great weather and lots of wild-life along the way!

Booked with Central Charter, expecting their 75-foot Discovery. But the Discovery sat idle at the dock while we boarded the Rainbow Connection. Staff was very welcoming. It was a packed cruise. The usual bad tourist behavior ... Taking up seating space with your backpack when there was a disabled passenger that had no other place to sit, or "reserving" some... More

This is a great way to spend an afternoon. I am pretty fond of birding so I really enjoyed the looks at Gull island of the nesting birds. We saw a lot of sea otters on the trip as well. The boat is a nice size with a snack bar and clean "facilities". The ladies were very knowledgable and friendly,... More

Great morning on the water - half day is more than enough for halibut fishing. They jump onto the hook, and you can only catch 2. Rainbow tours were efficient, hard working and knowledgeable. We booked this through Bob's trophy charters. Next time we would book direct.

We weren't really fishing just catching. Throw your line over and haul up your halibut. We shipped home 27 & 1/2 pounds. It was great. The boat had 21 people on board. The crew was great. I would rather be in a six passenger boat but the cost on this boat fit our budget better. We were out just the... More

This tour was well organized and easy to book and find the boat. I enjoyed it from start to finish with enough time in Seldovia to look around, have lunch and a coffee and see the sights. The staff have to deal with a large number of people from a lot of different nationalities and they are super helpful, provide... More

We live in the area and love to support local businesses so we chose Rainbow Tours to show some visiting family members around Seldovia in early July. The boat was full but everyone still had plenty of room to move about. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can expect to see plenty of sea otters, various birds, seals, etc. I... More

Our family of 4 (10 & 13 year old boys) went with Rainbow Tours on their 1/2 day fishing trip. The good news is that we caught our limit, and have about 50 lbs of halibut in our freezer at home. We ate some halibut yesterday and it was delicious. The bad news is that there wasn't enough staff for... More
