Very windy day so fishing wasn't great although, some on our tour did bring in Halibut. LOTS of passengers on the Sizzler. We were tangled due to the growing swells. Captain was conscientious of the deteriorating weather and made the call to go in, which was disappointing but we completely understood. We saw whales, birds, otters and great views of... More

I took a trip to Spain (Al-andaluz) with Rainbow a couple of years ago and it was fine. I was pleased. This year i took a trip with them to Greece (New Scenes of Greece) and it was unacceptable. 1) Buses that took us around did not have bathrooms. Not having a bathroom on a bus on which you sit... We had the pleasure of taking the Sea Life tour from Homer to Seldovia on Sept. 30th with friends visiting from Illinois. Absolutely Fabulous. The all women crew were so professional, knowledgeable and just down right fun. We lucked out on the weather and saw everything to see, otters, sea lions, birds galore and tons of humpback whales. On the... More

We took the Nature Tour/Seldovia trip.I know seeing whales is just a matter of right place, right time, but we hit the jackpot. We saw many humpbacks: breaching, flipper slaps, feeding, etc. We also circled Gull Island. The three women crew members were wonderful. They knew some of us wanted to see birds, too, and they pointed out birds. They... More

We booked a trip to Seldovia with this company and were not disappointed. First of all the staff was very helpful, friendly and engaged with the passengers. On our return trip the captain stopped so we could watch and photograph the humpback whales and a "raft" of sea otters. The boat was clean and comfortable. The staff seems very knowledgeable... Really rough waters going from Homer to Seldovia, but the female captain and crew handled it beautifully. We saw whales, otters, puffins, Eagles and a lot of other birds on the tour. Seldovia is a quaint little town worth seeing.

We took the Kachemak Bay tour and thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. With gorgeous views of mountains, glaciers, water, we were able to view and learn about eagles, pufins and many other bird species, sea otters and, most memorably, watch a mother humpback whale and her calf feed near the surface for about an hour. All along the trip it... More

My group took a tour of Kachemak bay and visit the different rookeries offshore. They also offer fishing trips but we only took the Kachemak bay tour with a 4 hour stop over in Seldovia. A word of warning...Seldovia is the sleepiest town I have EVER set my foot in. The tour guide is informative and friendly and will answer... More

After a great breakfast at Boardwalk Bakery we walked down to the Rainbow Connection where we met the wonderful crew. After we left the harbor we headed across the water to a bird island rookery where we saw a Common Murre and a Tufted Puffin that is not a penguin. We were asked if a rock formation looks like a... We take the Rainbow Tour for day trips and for long weekends with all of our summer guests. Their captain and crew are knowlegeable, extremely helpful, and experts on Kachemak Bay Wildlife. Unlike the Seldovia Ferry, the Rainbow visits Gull Rock and travels through Eldridge Passage with multiple opportunities to see eagles, whales, sea otters, and many other seabirds.
