Although we were hesitant to stop when someone recommended the Lowell Gallery, we were pleasantly surprised. For a few moments you are taken to a beautiful gallery that could be in any major city. Then the emotions and artistry of Norman Lowell takes over and moves you to the real beauty of his work. Being able to talk to him... more

This Gallery is so inspiring. This is a must see. Mr. Lowell is so friendly and we only could imagine how he was able to paint the masterpieces that he had. All I can say is you have to see it to believe it. He has a special talent. more

My children and I took time this weekend to visit Norman Lowell's gallery just outside of Anchor Point on the way to Homer. My husband and a friend were Halibut fishing and so many friends that know Norman have said it was a must see. We live in Anchorage for two years now and I am sorry that I had... more

My fiancee and I were so glad we took the time to visit this beautiful museum and art gallery. The art work is breath taking and is displayed as exquisitely as any large gallery we have ever seen. Beautiful music is playing and Norman and Libbey Lowell themselves usually are wandering around the gallery to visit with you and talk... more

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Alaska in June 07 traveling with another couple. They had been to the Lowell gallery before and suggested we stop there on our way to Homer. We had stopped in several shops/galleries before and had minimal expectations for this one. WOW! Were we wrong! The gallery is very large and the presentation... more

My family and I stopped there today on our way to Homer. The artwork in this little tucked away gallery is absolutely beautiful and represented so clearly the beauty of Alaska. We were also fortunate to get to speak to the artist himself, Norman Lowell, a humble but obviously extremely gifted gentleman. After visiting the art gallery, we walked up... more

You MUST see this place! It is an awe-inspiring combination of art gallery, sanctuary, and museum. All the works are Norman Lowell's, and you are likely to meet him and his wife, Libby. Wonderful people. You can also stroll up the path past their house and see the log cabin that he first built in 1958 when they homesteaded and... more

I lived on the Kenai Peninsula for many years, and became acquainted with Norman Lowell & his wife Libby way back when their homestead was a modest attraction for locals. Now with the Gallery and magnitude of his works on display, along with many wonderful Alaska artifacts, this is simply a Must-See for anyone traveling that area! There is no... more
