This place was great! A little on the grown up (read breakable) side and I wouldn't bring my kids in there, but they had some amazing art work. I loved all the unique metal work they had. The coop idea is so great and Homer has really embraced it. This stop is a must see!!

An astounding art collection/museum like atmosphere. Have visited here every year for the past 20+ years. Always new exhibits and no high pressure selling. Lots of history to be learned while here.

This gallery is amazing. I am no art buff but I love this place and the artwork is truly Alaska. Be sure to pit stop here-well worth it!

The artwork and sculptures were fantastic. The location and its history is worth the time to visit. Beautiful art. Also great to see the original cabin on the grounds.

After a great lunch in Homer, we decided to check out the Norman Lowell Studio & Gallery that we had seen on our way to Homer. I tend to steer away from art galleries as I typically get bored quickly but this one was so great! Mr. Lowell has a fabulous gift of not only painting but sculpturing and carving... More

Anne from the Soldotna visitor information center told us about this place. We normally would not stop at a art gallery. This place is absolutely amazing. Huge beautiful Alaskan works of art. Just a fascinating story about Norman Lowell. We did not get to meet him but we did get to see his original cabin. If you're heading to Homer... More

We stopped at the Norman Lowell Gallery because several people had recommended it. What a treat! He was there and greeted us. There was a steady stream of visitors while we were there. He and his wife homesteaded there and he has been painting Alaska all these years. His work is magnificent. Most of it is not for sale, but... More

My husband and I were visiting friends in Homer and they told us about the Norman Lowell Gallery. It's easy to miss since it's not really advertised but we searched it out as we made the drive from Homer back to Anchorage. I am so glad we did! What a fantastic experience! This wonderfully talented man is so prolific with... More

It is easy to drive down the highway without stopping for this attraction. It is not advertised. I learned about the gallery from other travelers. Norman and his wife homesteaded in Alaska from Iowa in 1958. They built their home and raised 5 children at this location. When Norman wasn't providing for his family he would travel the area making... More
