A huge gallery with decades of beautiful Alaska landscape-oriented works on display, completely free and able to browse at one's own pace. We were fortunate enough to be there nearly by ourselves and had considerable time to talk with Mr. Lowell himself and his wife, and our daughter even got to play piano for him on the grand piano in... This is an amazing gallery to visit and the best thing about it is that Mr. Lowell is there along with his wife in the gift shop. He is 93 years old and still painting, even though he is almost completely blind. His work is beautiful and truly inspirational. You can also take a walk around outside and see his... More

The studio was recommended by a relative. We were totally amazed when we arrived. Did not expect to be greeted by the artist himself! We really enjoyed our visit. The gallery rivals many in the city and this is out in the wilderness. Norman Lowell is a very talented artist.

This is one place that is not advertised in many places, but one you must visit. Not is the gallery free, but the artist is often there to talk with and enjoy. You will come away from the gallery better for having experienced it.

This amazing Art Studio, is located in a back woods setting. The outside looks ordinary....when you step inside, be prepared for the Extraordinary! Norman Lowells artwork is definitely touched by the hand of God! Well into his 80's, I Love that Norman is almost always in house to greet his guests. By the way, this masterful studio is totally free... More
