What a great day of fishing!

What a great day! Would be 5 stars, but the crew was 30 minutes late from our posted "meet at the boat" time. The crew was great, though! We had a party of five, plus others we... read more

I was an observer on a bear hunt that launched out of Whittier. My intent was to gain as much knowledge as I could for a bear hunt in 2015. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism shown by the captain and deck hand. They treated us with respect and were some of the most hard working young men I... More

We discovered Ninilchik Charters in 2010. We have fished for halibut from Homer and Ninilchik. We have gone on a combination trip out of Seward and caught halibut, salmon and rockfish. We have fished for Kings on the Kenai and the Kasilof with successful results on each of the three trips (one was a nice 45 pounder). Our grandest adventure... More

My wife and I went on a Kodiak Island deer hunt with Captain Al and Eric this past November and had a wonderful time. Transport service was provided at our convenience, meals were hearty and filling, and the crew couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The deer hunting is what you make it yourself, but the guys were more... More

My husband and I used the Tour Saver coupon to fish out of Seward with Ninilchik Charters. We had a lot of questions, since it was our first time fishing in Alaska and Mike and Mike couldn't have been nicer. We had a lot of fun fishing, even though the weather was less than ideal. Thomas, the first mate, was... More

What a great day! Would be 5 stars, but the crew was 30 minutes late from our posted "meet at the boat" time. The crew was great, though! We had a party of five, plus others we didn't know yet on the boat. One of our party members is a blind teenager who loves halibut fishing. Once we informed the... More

Trip canceled 48 hours before scheduled trip due to not having proper certification for the boat. Scrambled to find a replacement opening, as had relatives visiting and time was limited. Found one, but paid dearly. Mike's attitude was sorry, too bad.

We regret we had to cancel a trip because a Coast Guard inspection was pending. We try to find trips for customers in the event of a cancellation and we are glad the reviewer found another boat and went fishing and did not miss out on that day of fishing. We currently have 6 boats operating in four locations and... More

Captain Eric attended to every detail and made our trip memorable. We all caught our limit and he knew where the big halibut were. We had so much fun that we are booking the entire boat next time!

A perfect day in Homer, Alaska! My husband and I wanted to go fishing in Alaska and didn't particularly want to go on a small boat. We found a solution. The 50 ft boat, Sundy, based in Homer. The crew of three were friendly, informative and best of all helpful. We had a wonderful day fishing the waters around Homer... More

I paid for a Full day halibut fishing trip in homer going out with Ninilchik Charters. Current Alaska halibut daily limit is at two fish so on an average fishing trip if you could not reach your limit within the first thirty minutes upon the fishing ground, you should consider other hobby. So why did I pay a hefty cost... More

Unfortunately, we can not guarantee the size or number of fish caught. Also, note in 2014 an Alaska Department of Fish and Game regulation became effective allowing a person to keep two halibut but one has to be under 29 inches which is an 8 to 10 lb fish. Mike A More
