We went out halibut fishing in June of 2014. My inexperienced boys both limited out on halibut and loved the trip. Will definitely go back on my next trip to alaska.

Our trip was booked through Soaring Eagle, and we had assumed it would be a larger charter boat. We were delighted to find that we were 3 of 6. Captain Eric was so gracious and kind helping me on and off the boat with my arthritic knee. The other patrons suggested we man 2 poles and they man 2 poles... More

Everything "MNtravelbugs02" said below... we completely agree 110%! We chartered with Ninilchik on June 30, 2014. Our captain Eric was phenomenal and said we would stay out until our entire boat's limit was caught. The staff were SO friendly and it was just an overall GREAT day. We will be back next summer for sure! We also rented a cabin... More

We booked with Ninilchik Charters after a conversation with Mike A, who was very patient with all of our questions. Using coupon from the Northern Lights book (at Barnes & Noble) and got a 2 for 1 halibut charter--what a deal! Five passengers on our boat gave everyone ample fishing time since 4 poles can be out at a time.... More

This fishing outfit is awesome - they always treat us well & make sure we get our fish. However, the weather on the 21st was NOT pleasant & I (along with almost everyone else on the boat) was extremely ill. However, our visiting friends & relatives still had a great time & everyone got what we came for - HALIBUT!

We had a great day fishing out of Homer last year, and decided to try the Ninilchik trip this year. The boat out of Homer was much larger - more guests (16 maybe), Capt. plus 2 deck hands, an enclosed toilet, larger indoor seating and maybe greater probability of not being canceled due to weather. Departures from Ninilchik are beach-launched... More

I'm in the AF and have done a salmon charter out of Seward and a halibut charter out of Homer - this was my first combo and my first out of Ninilchik. My brother was visiting from MI and one of his main goals was to fish. Al was our captain and did an amazing job - friendly, hard working,... More

Booked anniversary trip, while booking was assured there are only two passenger slots left available after us on the boat. Two days before the trip got a phone call telling they're canceling because there are not enough customers, just us two. They could take us on the trip if we bring 10 friends with us. Wow, what a joke.. I... More
