This is a must see spot if you are in town. It's a small bar located on the spit. They had your usual beer selection and a decent price. The second you walk in the door you are overwhelmed with dollar bills all over the walls and ceilings. It was really cool to see. I would have given it 5... More

Stopped in to use their free WiFi on a cruise ship stop. They ran a free shuttle from the dock area to a spot beside the bar. It is at least mile (or so) walk from the cruise dock. This area where the bar is located is called the Split. There are other stores/restaurants there too. The Salty Dawg Saloon... More

We went in and sat at the bar twice. The people working here are great. So pleasant and fun. The prices of the drinks are reasonable. Stop by just to take peek and buy a souvenir. Fun time to sit and meet locals and people from around the world. Snack bags of chips, peanuts and such for sale.

Went in here on my own, stood at the bar , everyone was so friendly, bar ladies, locals, tourists all chatting and chilling. Great atmosphere, fun bar with lots of $1 pinned everywhere, apparently those on the wall are taken down at the end of the year and given to charity, last year it came to around $47,000 GO BEER... We always stop here and it does start with some eye rolling, but it is a great bar to stop for one drink and to rest tired legs or sea legs. Put $1 up, I know you want to and then watch people come in and try to locate the dollar they put up 10 years ago. Great entertainment and... More

Talk about your local flavor! Word of mouth led us to this little dive of a saloon. They didn't tell us too much; only, "Don't miss this attraction when you are on the spit, even if it is just to stick your head in the door". We had so much fun walking through, bantering with the bar-tender, listening in on... More

great history and a place to go in Homer Spit. I enjoyed the whole area, just to walk around and take in the sights.

This is a great old bar but now it sells tee shirts and is more of a tourist trap than a fisherman's hangout.

We had a drink at the Salty Dawg Saloon. The interior is amazing, you could spend a couple of yours wandering around reading and smiling. The staff member was friendly and answered questions we asked. We left our mark there.

Legendary in ever aspect of the word. A must for anyone traveling, staying, or living in Homer. Very historic and a great location to meet up with old and new friends. It's a warm and friendly place to stop by when near.
