Fun environment and a must see if you love joints with dollar bills posted to walls. Bet you haven't seen this many before! ! Bartender was pleasant efficient, lots to serve, and had some fun history facts. Great spot for a quick ale.

You have to stop here, so you can say you have. Everything is covered in money, to the point of being quirkey. We tried a duckfart shot on others suggestions. Tastes like kahlua. The barker was friendly and had no problem having a conversation.

We knew we had to have a drink at the Salty Dawg and were lucky to wander in one afternoon when we could find a place quickly. It's just such a famous, fun place, covered with dollar bills that i'ts a must do. The drinks were very good, several locals were in the place who gave us good ideas on... More

Great music, fun atmosphere, cold brews. No food. Tacked our $$ on the wall with the thousands of others!

We had to have a beer here after kayak adventuring in Kachemak Bay just because this place is a landmark. The bartender was nice. However, it's not very clean, and there wasn't much if any beer on tap so we had bottles. I'd say go if you want a classic old beat up bar but there are nicer (and more... More

Very cool place, visited by both tourists and locals alike. It is cash only, but they have an ATM machine in the place. Completely covered in dollar bills, it definitely has a lot of character! This is a spot you have to at least get a drink at while in Homer.

Stopped in for a drink while exploring the Homer Spit. It's a unique old bar with hundreds of dollar bills stuck on every wall and even on the ceiling. We wrote a message on our dollar and put it up to commemorate our visit. They provide the push pins. It was interesting to see all the messages and read where... More

The couple that we were traveling with had heard about this place, and so of course we had to stop. Glad we did: interesting and we joined in with writing on a dollar and leaving our mark ( it did take us a little time to find a spot to tack up our dollars) The staff was nice and we... More

yeah, it's turned into a tacky (borderline cheesy) little tourist bar with a gimmick.....thumb tack on the walls money with personal notes written on them. The money is eventually donated to charity. Tho tacky, at least stop and take a photo or two inside the place.
