Tired of the excessive commercialism near sea level? Just up the hill you'll find a variety of fairly priced local artists' products. A real gem! The store is staffed by one of the cooperative's artists. A variety of mediums.

The scenic, natural beauty around Homer is breathtaking, but don't overlook the artistic beauty on display at Ptarmigan Arts. An excellent display of fine arts and handcrafted works created by artists in and around Homer. This is a Co-op gallery, owned and operated by the artists whose work is displayed. The person working on the day of your visit is... More

Ptarmigan Arts is tucked away on Pioneer Avenue in Homer. You do not want to miss it! It is full of the best artwork in Homer. Because it is a cooperative, there is a huge variety of art, all from local artists, including beautiful wooden bowls, sun-catchers, colorful paintings, jewelry, fanciful dolls catching halibut and picking berries, photos of playful... My dad, sister and I visited Ptarmigan Arts yesterday and were greeted by a very nice lady who helped us pick out a nice gift for my aunt. There is definitely something for everyone here- several local artists' works are available here for purchase. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment during your visit to Homer.

Enjoyed visiting Ptarmigan Arts...they have quite a selection of crafts to see: woven, pottery, painting, photography and so on. I really like seeing local artists work while traveling, so this was a good stop. Each artist takes turns managing the shop, so start a conversation, and you may obtain a piece from the artist themselves..which is always kinda cool

This is a wonderful co op gallery owned by the best of the Homer artists. This is truly a place you should visit if you are a local or to visitor. Homers's best are available here.

Stop in for some friendly chat and to view beautiful art. Lots of variety - fiber art, photography, wood work, sculptures, and more. I particularly like the batik images.

I loved this place! They had art from a bunch of local artists and most artists have a little bio displayed by their art work. Great selection of pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, woodwork, clothing, etc. There's definitely something for everyone!
