I like to purchase locally made items so I found this a treasure trove. I ended up purchasing about five items.

Wonderful selection of made-in-Alaska gifts of all kinds: painting, ceramics, jewelry, fabric items, some truly spectacular stained glass. Fun to browse and even more fun to buy!

We arrived five minutes before closing time on the last day of our visit to Homer. We loved the artists and their work and wanted to browse for a while, so the staff kept the gallery open for us. We purchased several items (jewelry, woodwork). We highly recommend this gallery - spacious, attractive displays; friendly and helpful staff; good value.

I have been coming to Homer for many years and a few years ago discovered this GREAT co-op art gallery in Homer, AK called, Ptarmigan Arts. It is an eclectic gallery that has a variety of art created by local artisans. I feel that the vast majority of the items they sell are reasonable in price. If they don't have... More

Located in town, rather than on the Spit, Ptarmigan is worth going out of your way for. It features an expansive array of creative works from talented local artists, ranging from photography to jewelry, to clothes, to ceramics. to all other kinds of visual arts. It's great to find truly original, yet affordable, beautiful things while shopping on vacation.

I loved this artist Co-op and enjoyed seeing the diversity in the vision of the artists on view here. From ceramics to jewelry to painting and wood carving, you get a lovely flavor of Alaska and an original to take home with you! Don't miss it.

This is a collective of local artists. I thought the artists' collections were very nice. Beautiful pieces. The artist up for work that day had some beautiful turned wood pieces and was happy to tell us about how he creates them. We thought it was the nicest gallery we saw in Homer.

Ptarmigan arts is a great place to see some local artists. I try to go here for first friday when I can swing going down to Homer. I also got my colorful glass fish spoon rest here (which I had to come down and get a replacement). Great variety of items so it's also a good place to come look... More

I always stop here while in Homer. I enjoy the local art in a classy, git shop setting. Don't miss this one!

There are lots of galleries in Homer but TripAdvisor guided us to Ptarmigan first and we agreed that it was probably the pick of the bunch. It's an artists' collaborative venture. There are a lot of items to see and the quality is generally high. Recommended.
