Without a doubt the highlight of my extraordinary wildlife trip around Alaska and Western Canada. A must for any wildlife enthusiast or those seeking the very best photos of brown bear in action. While most people do 1-day (it is pretty expensive), I did a 2-day, 7hour/day session because I wanted to hedge against bad weather for better photographs. One... More

An amazing air adventure. We initially had our original flight canceled due to weather but got rescheduled for the next day. Our pilot and guide Martin was the consummate professional. We had some amazing views of Mt. Redoubt and Lake Clark National Park flying in. Then, shortly after we landed, we had a bear pass by us less than 40... More

OMG what a great time we had. After our safety briefing we boarded our 6 passenger plane for a 1 hour flight Lake Clark National Park. Even though it was overcast the ride was filled with lots of wonderful views. Upon landing the bears began to appear. A momma with 3 babies kept us interested for a long time as... More

We boarded a six-seater Cessna that was in tip top shape with Derek as our guide and pilot. He was amazing in both capacities! His sense of humor and knowledge about Alaska and its wildlife added significantly to the overall experience. The flight around the volcano and glacier was amazing. Take off and landing, smooth as a new born baby's... More

Put a nervous flier with a fear of heights in a small plane and you'd expect trouble! Not a bit of it; instead I loved the spectacular views you'd only see from the air with mostly smooth flying (it was a beautiful, sunny day). Friendly, knowledgable staff, from start to finish and BEARS, real live bears! Yes they were mostly... More

We booked this trip on August 19, 2014. The safety briefing was very clear and very high on their priority list. The flight to Lake Clarke took about 45 minutes and while we landed, we saw two sows with 2 and 3 cubs and at least a dozen other bears. Once we landed, we walked to a beach and sat... More

We really saw everything we had dreamed of on late July Alaska trip (except weathered-in Danali), but the 5-hr bear trip with AK Bear Adventures was over the top. Very professional team; Mike (owner) is great pilot and adventure guide. Flew 1.25 hrs to uninhabited Katmai peninsula, where we spotted cow and 2 cubs in water. Assault landing on the... More

We took the tour to see the bears and were very impressed with our pilot/guide and out flight. We were able to see a mama bear with her 3 cubs playing on the beach. We were told that June is the best time to see activity as the bears will be mating then. The plane ride is about an hour... More

Our trip was on August 13, 2014. We didn't see many bears but it was through no fault of K Bay Air's. Our pilot/guides worked hard to find bears that were on the move due to recent rains and the search gave us a wonderful flight seeing adventure. When the bears were finally sighted, we landed safely on the beach... More

remember, what you're going to see is wildlife so unfortunately it's not going to be predictable. if you want predictable, then you go to the zoo. everything was planned quite well and we were lucky enough to not be cancelled because of weather (about 10-15% are cancelled). if it is cancelled for weather, it's b/c you wouldn't be able to...
