If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience watching grizzly bears in the wild, book this trip. Mike and the entire crew deliver the goods as advertised. Along with my wife and 2 teenagers, we flew out early in the morning for a breathtaking flight over to Katmai. The flight alone is worth the money. We spotted... More

Thank you for writing a review of your trip. Reading your review really gets me charged up about getting out into the Alaska wilderness to see the bears again. The 2016 season is looking good. We are looking for high bear numbers in the locations that we visit and the long term weather forecast says we will probably have great... More

We had friends who live in Alaska encourage us to go with them. This trip is expensive but boy am I glad I did it! Simply amazing! Flight over beautiful country, landing on a beach, walking around and getting very close to live, wild brown bears (that are not tame but are use to people and have plenty of food... More

Once in a lifetime chance to see bears up close in the wild. Scenery on the flights was also a treat. Bring your camera and plenty of chips!

I had to pinch myself to believe I was there. Experience of a lifetime. I went with this company and another ;both were fantastic. Floatplane took only 1 group, so that was a nice advantage, but this tour company wasn't as limited with a 6 seater Cessna, so it had advantages over a floatplane. Both were fantastic!

This company is family owned. Initially I was told our trip would be to Lake Clark National Park/Chinitna Bay. When my husband and I checked in to their office on the Spit on 7/28/15 we were told that we would be going to Katmai National Park/Hallo Bay. I had booked the short and sweet trip for 7/29/15 due to some... More

My wife and I did a day tour with Alaska Bear Adventures in August 2015. We had a fantastic time. My wife is slightly terrified of flying, especially in small planes, but the safety briefing and the pilots made her feel at ease. She really appreciated that they fly high enough to always be able to glide to land should... More

Absolutely the best day of our month long journey in Alaska!!! The business is run in top notch fashion and the pilots were awesome. We ended up flying to Lake Clark NP for the day and the flight there was just as unforgettable. Flew over gorgeous mountains, waterways, landscapes and an active volcano! Landed right on the beach after our... More

This adventure was everything that we had hoped it would be! It is said that first impressions are everything, and when it comes to Alaska Bear Adventures, I was impressed from the very start. This company responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and to all follow-up questions. All communication (whether by email, phone, or in person) was warm, friendly... More

Adventure of a lifetime! This was truly the best experience on our trip to Alaska. We were able to see bears fishing for salmon in their natural habitat. I was amazed at how close we were able to be to them, and yet I felt safe the whole time. Our fantastic pilot Derek landed the plane on a remote beach... More

Me and my 14 years old son had an unforgettable great experience in this tour. You get to see bears eating salmons really close. Everything went smoothly. Out pilot and guide, Jaimie, did a great job. The tour is expensive, but this is not a tour you take too frequently in your life, and we got the best experience. We'll... More
