From the moment I called to book this tour to the moment we landed back at ABA's hangar in Homer, Mike and Dee and their staff were professional and friendly. My family of 5 flew with Mike. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip memorable for us. This excursion was what I personally looked forward to most about our... More

I've been on six different bear adventures and this one is, by far, the best. I live in Alaska and have seen bears all over the place but this was the most up close and personal I've ever been -- and felt totally safe!! The pilot guide, Derrik, was fun, knowledgeable and kept us where the action was. Walking among... More

Charlie took good care of us and delivered Bear Viewing as promised! Safety was a priority and we never felt threatened or in danger.

Everyone who has written a review comes away with the same great experience - from the small plane flight to the deserted beaches to the sedge grass fields full of bears and their cubs. We were fortunate to see over 27 bears in the time we were on the ground (not counting the ones we saw from the air), in... More

An absolutely brilliant trip. It all started with a flight in a cessna from Homer to the bear watching area, where Derek - our pilot and guide - landed the airplane on the beach, which made the trip very decent before we even got to see bears. The bear watching itself was amazing of course, and very professionally done as... More

We expected to see a few bears at a distance and need expensive cameras to get good photographs of bears...instead I used my iPhone4 to grab pix and videos of bears as close as 25 feet away. Martin was an excellent pilot and naturalist who made our 5 hours with the bears seem to go by way too fast.

Sign Up NOW!!! The flight and landing on the beach at Hallo Bay with Derrick as pilot and guide was just the beginning of a fabulous experience. Derrick gave us explicit instructions for our hiking and watching behaviors and we never, ever felt threatened or unsafe, in spite of being in a meadow with 14 grizzlies! We saw a mom... More
