I took my wife, daughter and brother and his wife on this tour to Chinitina Bay. What a fantastic trip! After landing on the beach, we were quickly in the middle of a good number of bears. I was amazed at how close the bears came to us. They were moving between grazing on salt grasses and the low tide... More

My daughter and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Hallo Bay viewing up close (as close as was safe) at least a dozen bears - cubs wrestling and playing together, two males on hind legs facing each other several times to get one to back down, mother bear playing with her cub, and more. We were very lucky.... More

I had the pleasure of going on this trip in mid' July. The trip is not cheap but when you consider what's involved, you get your money's worth. We started out later than planned due to some bad weather early in the day but it was gorgeous by the time we took off and arrived at the bear location. Our... More

A truly incredible day doing something very unique and something I'd always wanted to do. The staff were great - we had Zac who was super knowledgeable and friendly. The bears were just gorgeous and the quick tour of the glacier we did on the way home was nothing short of jaw-droppingly incredible. An amazing morning out.

We have been on bear viewing excursions before, but nothing like this. We met up with our pilot Jamie, and were flown out to Hallo Bay on the Aleution Peninsula. The plane held 6 people and the flight over was beautiful. We even got to see the elusive Mt St Augustine volcano. The company provided the waders for walking around(not... More

just want to say......It was one year ago today that we had the EXTREME PLEASURE of going with Michael to see the bears. I still talk about it, show my pics & videos. It was AWESOME from the time we took off until the time we landed back in Homer. The flight seeing...the mountains, the glaciers, and of course my... More

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!! Martin was a great pilot & guide. He positioned us so well for the bear viewing with safety being most important. And he nearly "took a bear" for our group of 4 when one beautiful blonde bear was getting too close. He said she was really only trying to get away from another bear headed our way but... More

The price is pretty steep and I was very unsure of whether I wanted to spend that much money. But, it was bears. In the wild. And I love wild life watching. So, I splurged anyway. It was the best decision. The day was glorious. Our guide, Zak, was very informative and down to earth and patiently answered all our... More

This does not disappoint. It is a once in a lifetime experience that is well worth the money. We were a family of ten ranging in age from 3 to 70. We had 2 planes and 2 guides. We were well equipped and outfitted and it was an exciting adventure from start to finish. We landed on the beach in... More
