Excellent knives selection. Ordered a custom made salmon knife; superior quality, feel, appearance! Also got a shirt there. Definitely will shop there again on our next visit to Haines!

Purchased a beautiful kitchen knife that I use all the time. I see these knives in other ports but this is where they come from. Will go back next time we are in Haines. Great place to buy gifts. Rod is quite a nice guy too.

Along with the knives he makes wine bottle stoppers with corkscrews and pens. The wood is unique and the handcraft... More

I continue to be amazed at the delicious flavors of fudge that is made at Alaska Rod's downtown shop in Haines, Alaska. Made fresh every day and many different varieties to choose from. My particular favorite is "Moose Drool" which is a combination of chocolate fudge, marshmallows, peanut butter fudge and drooled with caramel. Soooooo goood! Thanks, Rod, for such... More

Crazy funky store filled with everything you can imagine. The handmade knives are amazing. Truly functional works of art. The homemade fudge delectable and the healing salves/lip balms are amazing. One of them helped my sunburn fade remarkably! Run by friendly people who take the time to visit with and help the person in front of them. Don't think of... More
