This is by far the best tour in Haines! The trail up the mountain takes you through the rainforest where you will see all the flora and fauna natural to the area. At the lodge, the meal is fantastic! This was a fun excursion. The folks are so sweet that lead the tour. Especially Ronnie from Winston Salem, who sold everything and moved to Haines Alaska. Haines is a beautiful town. I did this excursion via HAL in August 2010. This is the best thing to do in Haines. Dale is an excellent host with a great staff excellent equipment and wonderful food. This is a MUST do when in Haines. The mules are loud so the wildlife is not very close, but you get a great trip up the mountain. More
