I want to move to Girdwood one day. Small ski town, a few bars, and the resort is on point. The people are what make this place. The most friendly people you'll ever meet, and literally you are in paradise. The best views in Anchorage in my opinion.

Whether it's a rental (I rented a bike trailer for a weekend trip) or a repair (my wife got her yard-sale special bike tuned up), he's your guy. A bit overpriced, even for Alaskan standards, he will give you your money's... More

This is the best place in all of Southcentral Alaska to get your skis tuned. Owner Jim Janssen is a font of information about the area, and he knows his skis and boots. He has made ski... More

We wanted to visit Alaska and decided to check out Girdwood. Stopping into Girdwood Ski and Cyclery on the Alyeska Hwy, we met the owner Jim Janssen. He was incredibly helpful with info for biking and sking in the area. The shop was a complete source for info, picking up equipment, and equipment repairs. We will always stop by when... More
