There's really nothing there. The views arn't great, so unless your purpose of taking the tram up is for skiing in winter, you could give this a miss. They charge $20 per person!!!

It is a big pricey to ride the tram at about $25/person, but it's absolutely worth it. They say that you can ride the tram down for free...if you hike to the top of the mountain :) No way we were doing that. You'd be looking at several hours to get up there and some serious uphill hiking! The views... More

We went up to the top of Mt. Alyeska via the tram. The 2300 foot climb was beautiful. When exiting the tram we were bombarded with loud saxophone music that clearly distracted all who I spoke to from enjoying the spectacular views. Even in the deli, the music was both loud and abrasive to the ear. I suggest ear plugs... More

The tram ride was short, however well worth it if you buy the lunch and ride ticket. We had 5 people and bought 3 tickets with meals. The hot sandwiches were very good and plenty to eat. Nice view from mountain top. My family enjoyed it.

Well the tram ride will be free, dinner will be expensive and worth it (see my review of Seven Glaciers Restaurant). The ticket is to have dinner on top of the mountain. The tram ride offers incredible reviews (although when we were there they had to close it down during our meal due to high winds and rain. The tram... More

If you have an hour or so to spend in Girdwood and don't have anything to do, you may as well take the tram up the mountain. The base is located at the Alyeska Resort, which is very nice and welcoming. I recommend trying to find a buy one/ get one coupon or similar way to reduce the price. The... More

Nice views of turnagain arm and glaciers going up the mountain. I think its overpriced though. If you are into hiking and have the time, walk/hike up the mountain via the north face trail and take the tram down for free.

We thought it was outrageous to charge $80 for a family of four to take one 7-minute tram ride. The view is lovely, but next time we will hike.
