This was a blast. We drove about 40 minutes outside of Anchorage to a ski resort, boarded a tram (where there was a Starbucks and cute clothing store!) up 2000 feet. 5 of us then had a personal guide up a glacier. It was a little less than I expected, but once we got on the mountain, it was perfect.... More

This was the most wonderful adventure of our Alaskan trip. Our guide Ryan was the best !!! Thanks Ryan. We arrived in Girdwood and took a van to our destination, where we were instructed and fitted into our kayaks. We then traveled a mile and a half across the lake to reach the glacier. At that point we were fitted... More

We booked two trips with Ascending Path through Alyeska resort for early September and were not disappointed. The guides are very knowledgeable, emphasize safety and are fun people. Highly recommend both

My wife and I went on Ascending Path's Spencer Glacier tour in August, 2014. It was amazing! You start with a fun train ride (including a sandwich or wrap onboard) to the Spencer Glacier station (only accessible by train -- no roads). It's amazing to see Spencer Glacier from across the lake, where the train dumps you off. You then... More

We spent two weeks on vacation in Alaska in early August. 15 of us traveled together from 4 families with our kids ranging in age from 15 to 24 years old. We had many activities planned during the trip but one of our favorites was the Spencer Glacier Kayak/Hike with Ascending Path. Everything went really well and we all really... More

Thank you ascending path for a great day rock climbing...there were 4 of us with vastly different levels of climbing experience but we were all able to climb together and still be challenged. Our guide Ryan was awesome...very enthusiastic and encouraging....and he brought plenty of water, snacks and bug spray. Thanks also to Celina who I talked to when planning... More

My husband and I took the Alpine Hike on the glacier with Peter as our guide. It was a great hike and Peter was awesome. The views were great and Peter explained everything along the way.

Ascending Path provide convenient tour that include a depart by train from Anchorage and return by train to Anchorage in the evening. The hike features small groups (we were 4 with 2 guides). Spencer Glacier is wonderful, and quiet in the middle of nowhere. If you combine that with the kayaking on Spencer Lake passing nearby Iceberg that makes a... More

We went for a 3 hour glacier hike with Scott on 6/25/14 up to the Alyeska glacier. My wife and I have only gone hiking a few times and never before in the snow. We went with another family for our maximum group of 5. Ascending Path provided cover boots to go over our tennis shoes, helmets, snacks, water, and... More
