We flew into Anchorage on 8/20/14 and stopped at Alpine Air on the spur of the moment on our way to Seward on 8/21/14. It was a gloriously sunny day with only a few clouds and we figured we ought to take advantage of the beautiful weather. We booked a trip to fly up and land on a glacier. Jared,... More

I don't even know where to begin....This was the most incredible experience we had in the trip of a lifetime to Alaska. We booked our glacier dog sledding experience nearly a year in advance for July 6, 2014. We were staying in Anchorage for 5 days doing day trips on our own before our 11 day Double Denali Land/Cruise package... More

Had a chance to take the Alpine Air Alaska flight seeing tour this Summer in August (2104) and I can't say enough good things about it! The scenery was truly awe inspiring and having the chance to see the glaciers from this perspective was amazing and only to be topped by actually landing on a glacier and having a chance... More

This experience, dog sledding on the glacier, is very unique but also extremely expensive for 1.5 hours. We decided to splurge and hoped it would be the highlight of our trip as it has been for so many of the reviewers. For our family of five it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and unfortunately the weather was horrible... More

Blessed with a beautiful day, we had an absolutely jaw-dropping tour over the Chugach Mountains and nearby glaciers in Prince William Sound. Words cannot do justice to the continuing parade of spectacular sights on this tour. We couldn't land "on" a glacier, but instead landed on a ridge that provided sweeping alpine panoramas in every direction. One of the most... More

Dog sledding on top of a glacier...... Amazing experience thanks to the wonderful staff at Alpine air Alaska. The "desk pilots" took good care of us - thank you, ladies! Took a 12 min ride via chopper to the Punchbowl glacier where our guide, Marcus gave us a briefing of the training and effort that goes into the Iditarod race.... More

This excursion was one of the best things my wife and I did on our trip to Alaska. The people on the ground and on the glacier were very knowledgeable which made for a great experience. The dog sledding was a great experience and it was fascinating to see how all lived on the glacier for the summer. We learned... More

The dog sled adventure was by far the best thing we did on our 10-day Alaska trip, including Denali, the gold-star train, and bear viewing excursion! You get lifted by a short helicopter ride (pretty incredible in and of itself) onto a glacier (also freaking awesome) to the summer-long dog sled camp--with actual Iditarod winning / current season training dogs.... An expensive way of experiencing dog sledding in summer of Alaska. With. Their latest helicopter, we flew our way 3000feet up to this glacier place and ready for 1.5 hours experience with dog sledding, playing with puppies. What can I say? Friendly staff, great experience, and must do it at least once when you in Alaska

You pay a ridiculous amount of money to get in a tiny red tin can and fly over a mountain while being buffeted by the wind and snow to be dumped on a freezing cold glacier with 50 barking smelly dogs and a grizzly looking alaskan dog musher that actually lives up there in a tent. And while on the... More
