This summer we took the Blue Ice Jet Boat/kayaking trip with Alaska Backcountry Access. What a fantastic adventure! Andy(the owner) was our guide. He picked us up at the Hotel Alyeska and after a short drive to the river, we got into his boat and he took us on a beautiful and exciting jetboat ride up a braided river to... More

We did a small canyoneering and repelling tour with Hans and Cory. They were both well prepared and very knowledgeable. On the first jump, which was the steepest, they were patient and provided excellent instruction. They made us all feel like we could do the impossible. At first, I thought it was a bunch of rope tied to trees. I... More

Just finished our trip with Cory and Hans. This is not one of the large excursion outfitters. It is very personalized and is ran out of the passenger van. My two daughters and I spent the morning repelling and climbing throughout some of the most beautiful areas. My youngest is 13 and was hesitant to try the first rapel (vertical... More

We stumbled on this business online and boy, we could not have been happier. From the ride out to the launch with Cory (who my sons kept talking about the rest of our trip, I think they dug his beard and easy going nature) to the jet boat ride and glacier tour with Andy, everything was amazing. This was seriously... More

Family of five went, had lots of fun. Appropriate for kids 10+ and adults. Just the right amount of challenge and truly amazing scenery. I mean really amazing. Worth the hike. Bring bug spray.

We did two excursions with Alaska Backcountry Access. The weather was absolutely gross, but we still had a super time! We did the Canyoneering and Jet boat Kayaking excursions on June 2nd and June 3rd. Even in the foggy rain, Andy and his team made sure we laughed and had a good time. I highly recommend this company if you... More

Andy you and your crew were amazing we had a wonderful time with you. Canyoneering is awesome, just the best. It was challenging without being too much. Repelling past the waterfall was definitely the highlight for me. Our group couldn't stop talking about our afternoon with you. Thanks so much!

We had fun snowmobiling at hatchers pass. Beautiful scenery and peaceful area surrounded our group. We were warm in all of the winter gear that was provided for us.

Andy and his team took great care of us and took us panning for gold and hiking and repelling through the canyon to some of the most amazing and gorgeous scenery imaginable. They were very knowledgable, kind, helpful, patient and fun. We are a family of 4 and we all really enjoyed this most special day! This was one of... More

My husband, two kids (8 and 13) and I did this trip over the summer, and it was amazing. First, you visit the historic Crow Creek Goldmine and try your hand at panning for gold--kids especially enjoyed this. Then you rappel into a lush canyon, where you hike along a beautiful trail, picking and eating watermelon berries pointed out by... More
