The ride to the top of the mountain is beautiful. All the mountain peeks are visible for miles around. Great opportunity for one of a kind pictures as well. A bit pricey but worth it to see the area in a unique way. Cook Inlet is beautiful from the top of the mountain.

We went here even though ski season is out. The tram to take people up comes and leaves at a regular interval. The view from the top is breathtaking. We bought the ticket inclusive of lunch as it was cheaper if you sum it all up rather than buy the tickets and lunch separately. I could stay up there all... More

We just parked here but it looked like a nice place to ski at. We saw a mother bear and two cubs as we were walking into town. We were there for the Forest Fest.

We rode the tram and enjoyed hiking up the slopes to see the beautiful panoramic lookouts. Keep small children close as the edge drops off quick. This was a fun place to visit even in the summer. The gift shop was average. The restaurant was as you would expect in similar places (trendy and slightly overpriced). Definitely worth experiencing even... More

Went up the tram with my husband, son-in-law and two small children. Incredible views especially since we had nice, clear weather. Besides the great view, you can grab a bite to eat or a beer and hang out inside (typical ski restaurant atmosphere) or on a small deck outside. Wish they would add some tables outside! There is nowhere to... More

It was foggy when we were there. We couldn't see much. It was a nice ride. I would wait and go for dinner.

Alyeska is awesome no matter what time of year. This time I was here in November - just the start of snow season, not enough yet that was natural to open for ski season, so it was awesome watching them make the snow, especially in the evenings with the lights shining! The whole area is wonderful and truly what people... More

Although the "Resort" is a lovely hotel in the mountains, the area is not such a great find in the off season. We were there too early for trails to be open, for summer hikers. I'm sure they are beautiful, though. The tram to the top of the mountain is $25 each person. Once we were at the top of... More

So why the low rating? I live in Anchorage and have been skiing Alyeska for 30 years. I do very much want to see the resort succeed for selfish reasons (it is our only real option for reliable, lift-served alpine skiing) so I do hesitate to post a low rating on TripAdvisor. However, my most recent experience at Alyeska leaves... More

The ride to the top and views once you get there are amazing. There is a lot of hiking and photo opportunities. We really enjoyed this experience. The staff were friendly and helpful.
