Everything about this visit was lovely. Enjoyed the tram operator's knowledge, the spectacular view of Turnagain, and the many trails on the mountain. There's not a bad spot in this entire area! And plenty of parking. But beware, food is expensive at the top of the tram.

On my tour with the Salmon Berry company we went up to this beautiful resort. Girwood area is just breath taking. Our tour guide Richard took us up to the ski area, which was very high. I got a little nervous but, the guide that works at Alyeska ski area and our guide Richard made myself along with others feel... More

Last week we took the tram up to the top of the mountain (free tix from Alyeska resort guests). Views? Just go there ... can't describe the boundless beauty without getting trite and corny. We hiked down. Special trails are for mountain bikes pounding down the trails so watch out if you find yourself on the wrong path. Dive quickly.

It was quite cool the day we visited. (May 30th). We took the tram to the top and wandered around. There were very few people up there. The views were nice, even though it was overcast and sprinkling. My only disappointment was that the gift shop on top was supposed to open at 10:00 and at 10:30....it was still not... More

Who knew? This place was extremely fine and unexpected. Food was wonderful, classically prepared and served. Would have been worth it without the fantastic mountain-top views.

The Alyeska Resort is home to a tramway that takes the tourist up the mountains to a viewing area that encompasses the Turnagain Arm, mountains, and glaciers for as far as the eye can see! A short walk or bus from the parking area takes you to the tramway terminal where tickets for the tramway can be purchased for $25.00... More

This place was lovely with brightly potted planets everywhere it was really enjoyable just walking around. We did take the cable car up the mountain and had our lunch and looked at the wonderful views below. There was a little museum which took 5-minutes to see but it was very nice. WE also got free WIFI here.

Despite all its snow, Alaska has very few ski resorts. Alyeska is a well appointed resort that packs in a lot of snow in the winter. The cable car takes you up high to an awesome view of the resort, valley below, and nearby mountains. Good free wifi on top, too.

We had a coupon for the tram so we took a hike, went up the tram, visted the gift store, and saw some of the most amazing flowers ever. This area had the best smelling air I have ever smelled, something so fresh I wish I could of bottled it, it was amazing.
