The Alyeska Resort is home to a tramway that takes the tourist up the mountains to a viewing area that encompasses the Turnagain Arm, mountains, and glaciers for as far as the eye can see! A short walk or bus from the parking area takes you to the tramway terminal where tickets for the tramway can be purchased for $25.00... More

This place was lovely with brightly potted planets everywhere it was really enjoyable just walking around. We did take the cable car up the mountain and had our lunch and looked at the wonderful views below. There was a little museum which took 5-minutes to see but it was very nice. WE also got free WIFI here.

Despite all its snow, Alaska has very few ski resorts. Alyeska is a well appointed resort that packs in a lot of snow in the winter. The cable car takes you up high to an awesome view of the resort, valley below, and nearby mountains. Good free wifi on top, too.

We had a coupon for the tram so we took a hike, went up the tram, visted the gift store, and saw some of the most amazing flowers ever. This area had the best smelling air I have ever smelled, something so fresh I wish I could of bottled it, it was amazing.

Wow, what a gorgeous place. We were there in the Summer so there was no Skiing but the Lodge and resort are first class. This is a popular destination wedding area. It's a 5 star hotel so somewhat pricey but well worth it.

We went only for the Tram and views. The tram was quite quick, but had spectacular views. The museum was more of a gift shop than anything else. With entrees averaging $35+, we decided to go to Chair 5 across the street in the post office in Girdwood that served all 4 of us off less than one entree at... More

We chose to use the Alyeska Resort to accommodate our guests during our wedding weekend and are very thrilled with our experience there. Our room block was for 20 rooms Saturday and Sunday nights (so 40 room/nights total). They upgraded the bride and groom to the bridal suite on the 8th floor, which was gorgeous and appreciated by both of... More

The ride to the top of the mountain is beautiful. All the mountain peeks are visible for miles around. Great opportunity for one of a kind pictures as well. A bit pricey but worth it to see the area in a unique way. Cook Inlet is beautiful from the top of the mountain.

We went here even though ski season is out. The tram to take people up comes and leaves at a regular interval. The view from the top is breathtaking. We bought the ticket inclusive of lunch as it was cheaper if you sum it all up rather than buy the tickets and lunch separately. I could stay up there all... More

We just parked here but it looked like a nice place to ski at. We saw a mother bear and two cubs as we were walking into town. We were there for the Forest Fest.
