A gorgeous lagoon and perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking. A must see! It also has some of the best restaurants on Rarotonga.

Muri deserves a visit and the water activities are amazing but the lagoon itself is not the best on the island. If you're looking for relaxing on the beach and occasionally taking a swim this is NOT the place. Try some spots in Titikaveka just be aware certain areas are not suitable for swimming.

We travelled all over the island and snorkelled in all of the well recommended spots. Muri was no better or worse than anywhere else: one day we saw lots of fish and on another, far fewer. But we'd rank it as the best of a number of great breaches on the island because it's close to Muri Village (so lots... More

...just a lot of glass-bottomed boats and other tourist activities going on, but still a nice spot to see if you're on Rarotonga.

This spot is made for taking photos. The other great thing is that it is very safe for kids - no big waves, it's not hugely deep in most place you would go to from shore so you could walk (recommend reef shoes though as can be rocky and lots of sea cucumbers) and it was warm as you'd expect.... Visited here on our frequent drives around the Island. Snorkelling is best at the Fruits of Rarotonga. Take some bread to feed the fish. The mooring has the largest sandwiches on the Island. There is Glass Bottomed boat trips and plenty to do there.

The crystal-clear water is not very deep making it perfect for water sports especially windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding as well as for young children. Kayaking over to the islets easy, just watch out for the coral at low tide. One of the interesting facets of Muri Lagoon are the dogs which roam not only along the shore but also... More

Unless you love to look at sea cucumbers, this is not your best snorkeling spot. However, it is the best place on this island for paddle boarding. Borrow/rent a kayak and paddle around the islands as well. Try La Casita for Mexican food-surprisingly wonderful.

Muri beach is very beautiful. If you sit infront of the Silver sands restaurant it is much quiter and nicer. The right of the beach is much busier with tourists and where the lagoon cruises start and finish. When the water is shallow you can actually walk over to the Motu right infront of you which gives you a great... More
