GOOD: · We didn’t stay at the resorts. NEUTRAL: · ?? BAD: · as returning guests, we wondered about the high sealevel and the sewage. The fine sand has gone and gravel remains, making it difficult to walk along the beach. Too much development on this small island. CONCLUSIONS: · return: no to maybe.

This location provides a great snorkeling opportunity. Going with a snorkel tour guide helps, but is not essential. Look for a crowd of glass-bottom boats, a forest of snorkels and you will have found it. I was in a group of about ten who spent an hour and a half snorkeling leisurely out about half a km and just exploring.... More

Beautiful view with crystal clear water. Just stood in one spot for what seemed to be an eternity in order to take in the awesomeness. Would advise booking the lagoon cruises with Captain Tama or Captain Moko prior to arriving on the island to avoid disappointment. There is kite surfing and paddle boarding in this location and great snorkeling.

Ideal location. Away from the main town, very safe snorkeling/swimming, coffee shops/restaurants etc to explore all within walking distance, so no need to get on a scooter if you don't want! PLenty of scooter rentals around too!

I've stayed on the West side and Muri side, and I've summed it up by saying if you want beautiful sunsets and able to walk to town then the West side. There is more to do in Muri but a scooter is preferable although most restaurants do have pick ups Just some Restaurants in Muri – Sails Restaurant Brunch =... More

Such clear water, lagoon is good because water stays so you can still swim when the tide is out. Great for paddle boarding. The wind gets up and good for kites.

Muri lagoon is excellent, it has everything you can ask of a beach. Clear water, corals, opprotunity for kayak, paddle board, snorkeling or just plain swimming it is great. The only down side is if the wind blows from the ocean, but you can try the other side of the island if needed

Hire a paddle board from one of the resorts and head out towards the outer reef where there are more fish and coral. If your balance is right you will be able to see the fish swimming as you peacefully float on by. Take your mask and fins and go for a quick snorkel too, great way to relax

We headed out for a lagoon cruise on the best, Koka Lagoon, as recommended by locals, family and friends. Having snorkelled and spearfished around many of the pacific islands I was disappointed at the amount of coral and fish life in Muri Lagoon. However from my husbands perspective as new to this, he loved it. It is great to hear... More

We stayed in north Muri at the Navigator for 5 weeks in Feb/March. We were away from the busy area(when people say busy dont compare it to Carribean or Mexican busy) We walked the short distance to the main part almost everyday. Busy for Muri is about 20 people. We walked to the Pacific resort, The Nautlis, and the TeVakaRoa... More
