We had a fantastic time, the reef sub owner was fabulous, we didn't book but just rolled up on the day, however I must stress that you must book before turning up --- we were lucky enough that there was a cancellation (very lucky for us that we got to experience a fun filled tour of the reef with Sheryl... My husband and I went on the Reef Sub a few days ago. First visit to Rarotonga and we had to wait a couple of days before the trip could go out due to rough seas. The lady (sorry forgot name) is very welcoming and informative. As is Luke that helps with the trips. It was nice to hear a... More

Thank for the great review and for being so thorough. I'm sure people will find this helpful when deciding whether or not to book on the sub. Thrilled you enjoyed yourselves and it was our pleasure to have you on board. More

We had a great time. We were a group of 10 aging from 9 to 70+. We got picked up and returned to our hotel, had a great time out on the water with really friendly and informative people. We were given plenty of time for everyone to get an opportunity to see everything. Water was really clear and the... More

We had a great time out yesterday! They were kind enough to take us out even though it was just the 3 of us. We got very special treatment. It was a calm day so visibility was incredible! Much deeper water (6-7 metres ++) than you see on glass bottom boat trips and v different being off Avarua harbour. The... More

Hi and thanks for your review. It was our absolute pleasure to have you on board. Hope to see you again - maybe next time you'll come during whale season and we can go out spotting. Thanks again for your support More

I'd rather spend a little more and go do the lagoon cruise again. For the price you pay and the length it is. I think it's overpriced. Esp since they don't offer for you to feed the GT (giant trevally -they forget to tell you that this is what GT means). And they only take you to about 2-3 spots... More

Thanks for your review. Happy to receive constructive criticism. We don't offer for people to feed the giant trevally as we have had complaints of smelly fingers, also if you flick the fish out everyone can end up covered in fish juice. Although their are four points of interest, there are fish and views to see right throughout the tour.... More

This was my 3 year old's first time on the Reef Sub, and his friends first time in a boat. We went out after seeing the Reef Sub in action over the last 3 years and thought it was time we had a turn! Many visiting friends and rellies had been and really rated it. It was lots of fun... More

This was our second trip to Rarotonga and having done the excellent snorkel trip last visit we decided to do the reef sub this time. The staff were friendly if a little disinterested. There was very little interaction, no engagement or stories or entertainment which was very different to the snorkelling trip. I understand they can't control what is seen... More

I'm very sorry you didn't rate this trip very highly. I can assure you that my staff and I were certainly not disinterested and always try to make sure that we give you as much information about the marine life, shipwreck and island living as possible. I remember the day in question, and there was a very unusual amount of... More

Hey this is Raro.....it's not like it's the adventure capital of the world. You go here for the simplicity and laid back nature of the place. However this wee activity is a must do. The sub tour is great and our kids loved it....so did we! Definitely the highlight of any trip. At $65 per head per adult ($35 for... More

Go under the sea and wild fish come up to your nose ! You can get a view anytime from the top or go under the semi sub to see the ocean floor.. Travel through outdoor reefs, see a lost ship at the bottom,Turtles,Rays, and more await ! Great value around $60.00 each.

This was a good prelude to visiting the whale centre. I loved going downstairs and seeing all the marine life in their natural environment. My favourite part of the trip was exploring the wreck of SS Maitai. It was impressive to see the remains since it was sunk in 1916. The guide was a very knowledgeable lady who pointed out... More
