Impromptu entertainment by the crew will have you tying pareu, weaving coconut leaf plates or humming island tunes. They are always happy to provide snorkelling lessons for first timers. « less

We were staying on Aitutaki and chose this cruise as a way of enjoying the beauty of the lagoon first hand. And we were not disappointed !! We visited several small islands within the lagoon and were able to walk across them and enjoy the birds and vegetation. Snorkelling was offered to all who wished, but as non-swimmers we enjoyed... If you are thinking of spending NZ$470 pp on a day trip to Aitutaki, I hope you have the time to read on to clarify your expectations. I've tried to be objective in this review, if you agree please tick the box and it will be worth the effort. Wow; undeniably gorgeous scenery, but we were left somewhat disappointed. This... More

We had a great day out with these guys. The crew were entertaining and the food was absolutely beautiful. The weather didn't play the game for us, however, The Vaka Cruise was set up well to cope with the inclement weather. Some of the other smaller tour operators were out on the lagoon as well and their customers were exposed... More

Did this trip as part of the Aitutaki day trip. Woke in the morning in Rarotonga to cold winds and rain and thought it wasn't going ahead. Wasn't until we were actually on the plane that I thought that I hoped I haven't wasted my money. On way in saw some lovely views of the Islands and what a site... More

If you don't want to spend the big bucks to actually stay on Aitutaki, then this day tour is a must. Sure, it costs around $450 but considering it includes the nearly one hour flight from Rarotonga, an interesting and informative tour around the main island plus the very well run and enjoyable lagoon cruise on the Vaka, with lunch,... Wow we had an amazing day yesterday. Highlight of our trip. The day bought us by a plane flight to Aitutaki first thing in the morning followed by a short tour of the island with our fabulous tour guide Ali. After our short tour we were then escorted down to the a Vaka Cruise boat which in itself was moored... More

We had a great day on the vaka cruise. The staff are great and the boat is spacious . We visited 3 islands and had an hour snorkeling complete with giant trevally fish who are fed so continue to visit the boat daily. The lunch was amazing, lots of beautiful fish, salads etc and plenty of it. The lagoon is... More
