Impromptu entertainment by the crew will have you tying pareu, weaving coconut leaf plates or humming island tunes. They are always happy to provide snorkelling lessons for first timers. « less

Did this trip as part of the Aitutaki day trip. Woke in the morning in Rarotonga to cold winds and rain and thought it wasn't going ahead. Wasn't until we were actually on the plane that I thought that I hoped I haven't wasted my money. On way in saw some lovely views of the Islands and what a site... More

If you don't want to spend the big bucks to actually stay on Aitutaki, then this day tour is a must. Sure, it costs around $450 but considering it includes the nearly one hour flight from Rarotonga, an interesting and informative tour around the main island plus the very well run and enjoyable lagoon cruise on the Vaka, with lunch,... Wow we had an amazing day yesterday. Highlight of our trip. The day bought us by a plane flight to Aitutaki first thing in the morning followed by a short tour of the island with our fabulous tour guide Ali. After our short tour we were then escorted down to the a Vaka Cruise boat which in itself was moored... More

We had a great day on the vaka cruise. The staff are great and the boat is spacious . We visited 3 islands and had an hour snorkeling complete with giant trevally fish who are fed so continue to visit the boat daily. The lunch was amazing, lots of beautiful fish, salads etc and plenty of it. The lagoon is... More

Fantastic day, the highlight of our holiday. Absolutely magic beaches, stunning! Ali is a treasure, he gave a lot of information about the islands, plants and wild life. He was friendly and entertaining, musical and made sure everyone was well looked after.

What an amazing way to spend the day touring gorgeous Aitutaki! The tour guide and staff provided excellent history of the island and their overall culture while ensuring all guests felt welcome and had their questions answered. The lunch was truly the best meal we had on entire trip and the live music while touring was a delightful touch. The... More

As other people have mentioned, i didn't find Aitutaki expensive at all, almost comparable to Auckland prices. Off the two Cruise's available, we chose 'The Vaka Cruise'... Very Entertaining staff... and knowledgeable... Entertained us for the hours or so each way to the Snorkeling spot. The Snorkeling was great. a deeper reef than Rarotonga... and wait until you see the... More
