The ‘must do’ day lagoon cruise aboard the 21 meter Polynesian style Vaka Titi ai Tonga.Every morning at 10am Mondays to Saturdays, the sound of the conch shell signals the departure of the Vaka for six hours of lagoon magic. There’s snorkelling, swimming and sunbathing to do before tucking into to an island barbecued lunch of fresh caught ocean fish served on board and accompanied by a full bar service.Visit several motu (small islets) and beach comb at One Foot Island before returning past the old TEAL flying boat base. Impromptu entertainment by the crew will have you tying pareu, weaving coconut leaf plates or humming island tunes. They are always happy to provide snorkelling lessons for first timers.

Cruise can be highly recommended. Everything on time and nicely planned. More than expected. Two chances for snorkeling highly appreciated. Had much fun. Mainly Ali - our entertainer - is a born entertainer with much humor and made the tour a pleasure, we got enthusiastic. In addition his knowledge about the islands is incrediblely good and he shared all of... More

If you want to spend the day on the lagoon without having to worry about a thing, jump on board the Vaka Cruise. The crew are friendly and seem to enjoy the experience as much as the guests. Lunch on board is excellent; plenty of local cuisine as well as more familiar kai for the less adventurous. There is an... More

Excellent excursion. Nice boat, lovely staff, great food and fun snorkelling. This is a well run boat and we had a wonderful fun day. To be recommended as the best lagoon cruise on the island.

Awesome day out on the lagoon!!! from the moment of stepping onto the boat the day was very enjoyable, nice spacious boat with actual tables and chairs, greeted with a fresh nu drink. Towels supplied, toilets on board. Friendly and funny staff that keep you entertained and also informative about the island. Stopped at 3 different islands, did some awesome... More

Do your self a favour and do this cruise. One for the bucket list! Has more x factor that any cruise in Aitutaki, staff great! The host (his name escapes me) was fantastic, entertaining and really knows the area. He grew up in Aitutaki. The scenery is out of this world.

A great cruise. The crew are uniformly talented and engaging, and the time aboard flies with the unsurpassed views and on board musical and storytelling entertainment. Stops off a few times for great snorkelling, island walks and swimming. Food is excellent and locally authentic - top class barbecued fish (on our day tuna, which even my fussy daughter adored), plus... More

Absolutely stunning beauty! Then have the nicest boat, good food (saladas, freshly grilled tuna), fun program (mr Casanova), and local music. Choose this one, even it's a bit more expensive.

Although the cost to get to Aitutaki can seem a little prohibitive - this is a must do if you are in the Cook Islands. An hour's flight and you arrive in just the most picture perfect setting you could imagine. The Vaka Cruise is a great way to enjoy the best of what aitutaki has to offer. A short... More
