If you don't do anything else on Moorea, drive or take a tour up to the Belvedere lookout for spectacular views of "Bali Hai", Opanahu Bay, and Mount Opanahu. The archeological sites of ancient "mares" on the way to the top are worth a quick stop if you have time, but if you don't, you won't miss much.

We stayed at the Intercontinental several miles away and had to take a cab here, but this was a great hike. Not super strenuous but the view at the top is breath taking. There are some ancient ruins on the way up with lots of informational material. There is an agricultural school nearby. It's green, lush, beautiful. A must for... More

Last bit of the road isa little rough but the view is worthwhile. Don't forget the aeroguard especially if stopping at some of the ruins

Loved the view - seeing both bays at once - and the colors were fantastic! Lots of Avacado trees! Also enjoyed learning about the history and seeing sites of the original worship sites

Anchored in the Bay Opunohu headed out to walk up to the belvedere. Breathless view of the islands' mountains as well as the 2 bays. On the way stop to have a juice or ice cream on the Moorea School of Agriculture. Delicia soursop ice cream. This unmissable stop. You can go back the way you came easier access, you... More

We rented a dune buggy for this adventure so you can hit some of the unpaved areas. The view is beautiful, but the trip up to it made the adventure. Have your camera ready, because you'll see many photo opportunities.

Beautiful lookout @ dawn or sunset. Best view of Moorea, romantic memory you will cherish. Rent your own car and drive up on your own for your visit.

Worth the trip to view beautiful Moorea. The trail is rickety and quite an experience in itself. Great views all the way up!

Traveling up the mountain thru the winding road to the top the view was worth the trip. The views were amazing! Had a great time.
