We had a fantastic time here! We signed up for the Special Romance Package which meant that we had one on one time with a team member and one of the dolphins. Moana (my memory might be failing me about his name) was attentive, knowledgeable and a great guide through this experience. Vladimir was on hand too to take photos... More

Seeing a dolphin up close and being able to be it, is a t good as it gets, people are concerned that they were captured from the wild which isn't the case, these dolphins were born in captivity and appear to be very happy and content, I watched them freely swim between their pools and jump happily without the trainer... I love dolphins so when I found out the hotel we were staying at had a dolphin center I convinced my husband that we should do the dolphin experience. We got there at 10am just to find out that there had been confusion and somehow we had been scheduled for 7/5 instead of 5/7 (difference between how the date is... More

My husband and I decided to splurge for the package in which you are in the deep water with the dolphins. The trainer was very knowledgeable, and gave us a history on the dolphins. We each got to take a ride underwater while holding onto the dolphin which was absolutely amazing. Just be forewarned, they charge $20 for one printed... More

I wish we as humans would leave the dolphins alone. Do we really need to get in the water with them and touch them and then watch them do tricks? Watching this made me depressed. They are such beautiful smart creatures and should be free to swim the seas and live their lives.

I wouldn't say it's well marked; but, we went into the Intercontinental on Moorea to see the dolphins and turtles and were glad we did. We arrived around 10:00 a.m. and watched some people in the water with one of the dolphins for a bit; but, honestly it got pretty boring pretty fast. I think I enjoyed walking around and... More

We did the 30 minute dolphin encounter on our honeymoon. About 15 mins of prep and discussion followed by 15 in the water petting the dolphin. But on top of the high set fee, you have to pay $20 per photo of the experience if you dont have someone behind the fence taking photos for you. I tried to use... More

I had always wanted an opportunity to meet and touch a dolphin, but would not do it in other places, as I wasn't convinced the dolphins hadn't been captured. On Moorea the 2 dolphins you meet were born in captivity in Hawaii, and moved to Tahiti at 8 years old, so releasing them was not a reasonable option. They were... More

Since we were staying at the InterContinental, we watched a couple of the Dolphin shows. Still, couldn't help feeling sorry for the dolphins despite the fact they are well cared for.

We were reluctant at first, imagining it would be over-touristy and demeaning for the animals. Two of our family group did it and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the biology of these wonderful animals. It was a thrill to be so close and touch them. Could have done without the cringe making kiss opportunity at the end though!
