I am sorry but we are spoiled for beaches in Australia. This was not at all a beach for us. We found it dirty. It was only good to take some nice pictures.
We rented a car for the day and stopped at this beach for snorkeling. The water was as warm as bath water and very clear. I am a decent snorkeler and was able to see several varieties of fish. I snorkeled close to the Sofitel and was not disappointed with the huge coral. Well worth a visit even if you... More
EAsy access and parking, this lagoon offers the best beach on Moorea with some great snorkeling by some of the smaller coral formations. Suggested stop by the Golden Nugget store for some local creations of jewelry, pearls and painting in a surreal setting. Just follow the wood signs past the public beach for Jeweler, entrance by the runway of Moorea... More
Lovely beach nearest ferry port. Road is dirt track coming off the main road so drive carefully. Very pretty beach - white sand, blue reef and ocean in the distance. Toilets are usually open and ok. Current on beach is very strong so dont be alarmed if you end of very quickly down near hotel! Its safe mind you but... More
This free accessible beach has one of the worlds greatest views. The water is swimming pool clear, full of colorful fishes and coral. The view on Tahiti-Nui is breathtaking. Just go there and enjoy a few hours in paradise. This is what Mo'orea is about!
5 minutes from the port, vehicle needed for access, popular with the locals, school outings with lots of picnic areas. Rocky sand, turquoise waters, great snorkel, clean bathrooms nearby. In my opinion a average beach if your hotel doesn't have one.
Long beach, plenty of space and showers at the end plus one snack wagon when we were there. Only downside was that our daughter had a set of flip flops (jangles) stolen while she was swimming :( and the place was empty, maybe they thought that they were abandoned?
This beach is located about 5 minutes from the Moorea port so it's really popular with locals & as well as visitors. There are bathrooms onsite, they are well kept up & clean. We were at the beach for an hour and the bathrooms were cleaned and the entry ways swept. The bathroom doors are closed and appear locked so... More
