My husband and I visited rurutu for the whales in september this year. We set up four whale watching tours with raie manta club over 2 days just to increase our chances of seeing whales! My wife and I work as volunteers on whalewatch boats in Maui and Los Angeles. We're not marine biologists, but we have a lot of hours watching whales from boats.
