An inexpensive and terrific place to take the young ones for a few hours of education & fun. I would recommend for kids between 5 & 12 years old. I enjoy going early before it gets too hot or something to do if it is raining with the family.

I was there for an event; not as a visitor to the museum. That said, the people I dealt with from the museum were wonderful. The space was enjoyable. I would highly recommend this space for any event in San Jose, Costa Rica. I would recommend visiting the museum, if for nothing else, it's history.

I took my children here today (ages 3 and 7) and we spent over 4 hours at the museum and they just loved it. It is very big and you get to learn about things that are important to Costa Rica (bananas, coffee, different environments) as well as other topics such as space travel, Ancient Egypt, the human body and... The title, "Los Ninos, is misleading. It is not just a children's museum but there are ongoing exhibits for them as well as local and international art for us "big folks"

We spent four hours here and didn't see half the museum...it is huge and the exhibits are very well done. Our kids had an absolute blast, and keep asking to go back. There were so many interesting exhibits, a lot of them Costa Rica-themed. The staff are helpful and happy to speak with the children (most of them are older... More

We've visited here several times. I like going back because I learn something new every time... not to mention my daughter... she loves going. The food is pretty good and also inexpensive. Take soft shoes... there's a lot to see.

It is a small museum, but it has several and very entertaining activities for kids of all ages. It is crowded on the weekends, but it is worth the visit, just the fact that this was a prision and ended up being a place for kids to learn makes it a memorable visit.

It is huge. We kept wondering if it would ever end. Our kids (5 and 3 years) loved it. There are a lot of different exhibitions for the kids and they can interact at a lot of them. For example they can dress up like firefighters or police officer and play in a fire truck and police car. There are... More

This museum needs about three hours and they provide your own university student as a guide. The low cost of admission and amazing service made this a highlight.
