It's a very interesting place for the families with children and not only. here You can find a lot of different physical expositions (all are active-you can touch it): about ecology, electricity, biology, optical illusions, flora of CR, economy (small bank& town for kids) dinosaurs...and even supermarket..

Thought this would be only for the kids - and it is for the most part but there is also a lot to see here. There are walk through dioaramas that depict the history of RC - that alone was worth the cost of admission.

We went here with a group of kids (6-14) and college students, and both the younger and older members of the group had fun. Favorite parts were the miniature grocery store upstairs (great staff interactions there), the large dinosaur exhibit, and the health exhibit. Our group was large enough that we split up into several smaller groups, and when we... More

Great museum with a ton of activities for kids of various ages (ours were 6-9), also nice that they have staff in every room willing to talk to kids and explain what the exhibit/area is about. The staff is great, even when they didn’t speak English they tried very hard to show us things, and one of the staff used... More

Our family visits the children's museum of almost every city we travel to or through. This museum has something for all ages and interests. The setting is a medieval castle (an old jail repurposed) on a hill that offers great views of the city, cute characters that wander about, and hundreds of mini-spaces with thousands of hand-on exhibits to explore.... This was one of my favorite places to go while in costa rica. Its like the telus world of science for latinos. So many interactive things to do and see. Amazing time and lots of fun!

There are plenty of things for children to do. The areas are fun and educational. There was a large dinosaur exhibit, a farm exhibit, a ball pit, etc. There was a neat mirror trick where the side of a building was built on the ground and an angled mirror that made it look like people were climbing the side of... Museum was great. Way bigger than we expected and very affordable. Staff and exhibits were awsome and my two year old had a great time. We stayed for three hours. Only thing I would say is make sure you taxi onto the grounds. The surrounding neighborhood is super "bummy" and tons of scary people everywhere. My son got an additional... More
