This is a beautiful huge park that takes about an hour to walk around. There are some hundreds of trees , plants spreading faint scents around. During weekends, tens of people come here for outing. There is a lake with pedal boats. For about $1.50 you can rent a boat for 30 min. On one end they have an art... More

If you are into sports, you can't skip a visit to La Sabana. You can run, dance, ride a bike or a skateboard without annoying anyone.

Just toured around and walked the beautiful park, police patroling on horse back. Close to the art museum, the stadium and many other different restaurants.

It's a huge park in the city. Although there aren't tons of people in the park all of the time to people watch, it is a pleasant and green area of San Jose. San Jose isn't too frantic of a city, but it is nice to get away and walk through Parque La Sabana.

We had just arrived in San Jose from London and wanted to stretch our legs on a Sunday afternoon. We wandered to the Parque La Sabana and ended up staying for hours. This is where Costa Ricans come to spend time and we felt it was a fantastic way to get into the culture, relax and soak up some well... More

I rented an airbnb apartment directly across the street from the park and national stadium. By U.S. standards this park lacks green--the only trees seemed brown and dying--maybe the wrong species for the locale. Otherwise, during the work week, there are lots of folks here jogging, walking, and practicing soccer. Weekends are much busier with vendors selling snacks, families having... More

We walked to this lovely park from our hotel and were surprised to see how many people were enjoying it. Children with their parents on the playground equipments, many teens taking part in some form of physical activity, There are basketball and tennis courts, soccer field, a couple of tracks for running or riding bikes, roller blading or just walking....
