Quite an escape from the hustle of downtown San Jose. Pretty grounds and fairly well kept. Always something going on, from art fairs to locals playing futbol. Now the National Stadium is located here too.

Great outdoor fun in the city!! What ever you want to do it's there. Bike, jog, Zumba classes, fly a kite or just take a nice walk around the park.

Lots of parks for kids and a dollar skating rink - bring your own skates. :) Its a nice place for a picnic and you can buy ice cream/snacks from passing venders.

This is the national park with the national football stadium (soccer) located in it. It's a spacious, attractive part surrounded by the busy city life of San Jose.

The museum used to be the airport and the building is charming. The art is well displayed and clearly labelled in English and Spanish. The gold room is a huge mural and is worth the visit alone. The park is great to walk around and there was a craft market when I visited. The museum and market are not open... More

as a nature lover I was very excited to hear about this park that I've heard referred to as 'the lungs of San Jose.' this park was very small, very few trees, and nothing special. I had to walk quite far to get here, since it was a little out of the way from my hotel. when I visited in... More

Big park near the city center, good for a picnic or a stroll with the family. We like the shade, body of water but the kids playground was really worn out. Actually it was a bit dangerous as we have seen kids falling off the swings with the swing itself. One can see it was recently refreshed but will require... More

This park has been restored lately and it is way better that it was not long ago, the new national stadium is the biggest land mark in the park. Be careful do not touch the lake's water.

We were staying at the Tryp Sabana hotel nearby, so we went for a nice walk through this park on our first day in the country. There were some interesting sights - the "highlighter" trees, a nice lake with a view of the mountains in the distance... be sure to check out the national soccer stadium, and the Costarricense art...
