Very impressive collection

This museum has a great collection of ancient Jade carvings as well as many ancient pottery pieces. Well worth the price of admission.

Some interesting exhibits, but not much you won't see at the nearby and much more worthwhile National Museum

The collection is varied. The employees are knowledgable. Only takes one visit to see though.

First - "American" means all of North, South, and Central America. Second, if you're asking for directions, it's pronounced "moo-say-o del ha-dey". Items date from pre-Columbian times (300Bc-700Ad). It includes... More

Their collection of ceramics was outstanding, and we were impressed as to the number of items that were perfectly preserved. We got a kick out of their collection of erotic ceramics. The museum was quite interesting, and we learned some interesting facts about Costa Rica. At $8.00 per person, we found it a little pricy considering how fast you can see the entire museum.

Didn't have enough time allotted for the museum was the only problem. Could have stayed much longer.
