This course is more difficult than average but a constant pleasure to play. Never Boring, Sometimes very challenging, always fun. Caddies are required and relatively inexpensive. "A" caddies speak English and know the game and course. "B" caddies are good too, less English. Somewhat narrow, some greens tough to hold, some beautiful vistas. Staff is friendly and helpful. well kept coarse, though pretty pricey. good rental equipment available. most golf in costa rica is high, this is a relatively new development. most coarses are less than 10 years old. this is one of the oldest. no longer private open to the public

a decent course and I recommend renting a cart. The fairways are long and the greens are usually in good condition.

I loved playing at this golf course. I just wish it was closer to where we live. Wonderful layout and good caddies. Not walker friendly, it's a long course.

Played Cariari Golf Course again in July 2013. Last played in mid 1990's. It is a great golf course with wonderful and tricky holes. Great service by starter and caddy (required when riding cart). I suggest taking a caddy to help read putts and find balls. Lots of beautiful trees, flowers, and birds. Nice restaurant, too.

A long-time friend invited me to play when I visited him in San Jose. We had a very enjoyable round on a beautiful course.

I have eaten there several times with friends who belong to the club and the food has always been good and the prices for good food in CR are reasonable. Even with a large group, they are able to handle it with prompt delivery and excellent service.

It is a nice golf course, it may be the oldest one in Costa Rica, very well maintained, and in a nice place.
