We did a short hike up the trails. We did not hike to the summit, however, the part we saw was very spectacular. More

Don't recommend doing it it one day. Make a few days out of it because there are numerous other trails to explore from the top. Bring clothing for all weather conditions. The lodge up top is super sweet and a joy to see after a long day of hiking. Los Crestones are cool to see. More

Great, but there was a huge fire last month that destroyed thousands of hectares. But nature here is quite resilient. More

Far too expensive for hiking, but still worth it for the views. More

Surroundings are very nice, but there is basically only one hiking trail, the one to the top, 13 kilometers long and ascending over 2500 meters, so very steep. The trip to the top takes 8-10 hours, depending on your fitness, so it requires an overnight stay on the top, which is part of the charm. This does take quite a... More

If you can afford a guide, or team up with others the 3-4 day hike up Chirrripo and along the ridge the Uran is well worth it. More

I liked the trek, the uphill is hard, you'll want to be in fairly good condition, also not recommended to try and bother drinking while on top, you'll keep others awake, and you'll also pay for it the next day !! haha. The lonely planet also has a poor description of the trail and it's aspects, you can pm me... More

Without a doubt, the most beautiful place in Costa Rica. The hike is not for beginners (it is actually for advanced hikers) and the accommodations are very basic, but if you want breathtaking views, and unmatched silence and tranquility, then this is your place. More
