I went here this August and I loved it. The nature, the scenery, the super green canyon you go through and the raft and your friends are the sum of a perfect adventure close to San José, I used costasol rafting and their guides are hilarious. The included breakfast is nice topical costarrican and after you take the tour the... More

There is not much to add to the glowing other reviews, except for some practical tips: -there are several companies, we went with Tico river adventures and were very happy in every respect (including arranging this), and Moses was a great captain (we felt safe despite being novices, having our kids in the group of 6 and a very strong,... I recomment, pay for the pictures they are an amazing souvenir. Ask for Derek from USA he is an excellent tour guide. During the trip, you can go to an amazing waterfall, swim and stay under it for a while, be careful walking to get there. (Must use wear sport shoes or water shoes, NOT SANDALS). There's another stop where... More

Website told us what we needed, but felt it wasn't accurate. Didn't need the recommended jacket and towel (they give you a towel at the end). You must have correct foot wear (water shoes/sandals) and wear a short or long sleeve rash guard-type shirt (not t-shirts). They will sell you all of these there if needed but PLEASE NOTE: They... We arranged our white water rafting down the Pacuare river with Explradores in San jose. They were helpful and professional. They picked half of our group up from San Jose and the other half from manzanillo. We had breakfast, rafter the river for 3 hours, had lunch an drafted another hour! It was fantastic. We all enjoyed it , even... More

I second all the other reviews: this is a very exciting and extremely well organised minor expedition. Just be fairly fit, and get ready for a super time. Incredible value!

Incredible experience with an awesome group of people! For $99, the one-day Pacuare tour includes all transportation, breakfast/lunch, as well as an amazing time. Pick up and drop off location can be different-- take advantage of this perk. Shout out to our guide Roberto! Safety was priority on our raft, but in no way did this take away from the... More

This rafting tour was great!!!! The tour guides were super nice. And the river was amazing. It was raining plus the river water in the rain forest was perfect. No doubt that I will be back!!!!!

During booking the "overnight rafting" experience we didn't expect so much.. it's been really fun and exciting the rafting along the Rio Pacuare and so romantic and relaxing spend a night at the river camp. The rafting guys, Roy and Abel, have been very professional and hospitable. they served us a romantic dinner with candles and wine in the jungle.... More

We did the one-day trip down the Pacuare on August 11th. We went with Costa Sol from San Jose and their guides were excellent and safety-conscious. It's a long day, but well worth the $99 per-person cost. Raul was our guide throughout the day and Juan led us down the river while Raul served as our safety kayaker. They were... More
