This was my second time using a tour to visit the country of CR. Last visit was with a competitor of Caravan so I was anxious to see the difference as the price was comparable. Caravan outdid themselves and were over the top with hotel accommodations, tour guide professionalism and extras that were included in the trip. This company is... More

If you have looked at other reviews for CARAVAN'S COSTA RICA TOUR, you will see far more positive comments than negative ones. This will be another glowing review! A friend and I went on the tour that began in San Jose on March 25, 2014. From the minute we arrived at the Barcelo Palacio Hotel at 6AM in the morning... More

Wishing to see key places in Guatemala I joined a Caravan Tours program which took me to museums in Guatemala City, Quirigua with its Mayan Stelae, the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Tikal,a great Mayan City, and the lovely old Spanish Colonial Capital of Antigua. Finally we visited beautiful Lake Atitlan surrounded by dormant volcanoes. Travel was by luxury bus... More

Just a few comments after having just returned from a 9 day excursion with Caravan Tour of Costa Rica. I can't say enough about our wonderful Tour Director, Juan Jose (JJ). He went out of his was way to ensure everyones' needs were met and was a wealth of knowledge. My hat goes off to Mongo for his superb driving... More

Just completed a 9 day Caravan trip around Costa Rica and it was excellent. Amazing value, everything paid for basically (meals, lodging, guides, entrance fees). Large group (43) but everything was so well organized the trip moved along seamlessly. Not a relaxing trip since you are traveling and seeing sights, but we didn't expect that. We wanted to see Costa... More

We just returned from our trip to Costa Rick with Caravan - wow - amazing!!! We went with our two children (13 and 14) and have to be honest - we were bummed when we realized they were the only kids on the trip. Out of over 65 people (two busses) - the only kids. But after the first night... More

This was our first escorted tour and our first visit to a non-English speaking country. We felt so well taken care of and had such an amazing time. Our tour guide Paul was extremely well-informed and was also funny, interesting and caring. Our driver Luis performed magic getting a giant bus through tiny winding roads. We saw so much more... Our Caravan bus tour in Costa Rica was excellent. This was our third time traveling in Costa Rica and first time on a tour. The itinerary included volcanos, two aerial trams, two river cruises, bird watching, and sand beaches with time for swimming. We saw more locations, did more activities, and learned so much about Costa Rica history, foods, and sites.... More

Caravan does a comprehensive overview tour of Costa Rica for a great price. Our tour guide Lauren Guzman was courteous, efficient, funny and very knowledgeable about her country. Rolo was a great driver even in the congested streets of San Jose and Manuel Antonio.A bus tour with 40+ people is not going to be an individualized, up close experience of... More

This was a bus tour that went from San Jose to Guanacaste (Pacific Coast) and back in a circuitous route. The guide, Laura, was great. She was knowledgeable, informative, friendly and spoke very good English. She was very accommodating to all of our needs. There were forty people on our bus. She laid the law down on day one to be...
