What a day! gear was in great condition, boat is very neat and tidy with a very skilled captain. Dive master was very professional and knowledgeable. Both dive sites we visited had a spectacular variety of both benthic and pelagic fishes as well as beautiful sponges and corals. Also saw an Octopus! More

JT is a great guy and a good instructor, and really teaches you what the "Buddy system" means in real life. Bob did a great job in getting a boat on the last day. Even though Oceans Unlimited told the travel agency that the boat was not available at the time I wanted to dive, he arranged one last minute.... More

JT, Kaitlin, and the girls did a great job. Despite dodging red tide we had a wonderful time. All but one of us were first time divers and the instruction felt thorough and we were well tended during our dives. Plenty of instructors and they took their time helping one of our group who was having a hard time, without... More

I did two dives with them and had amazing service. The equipment, boat etc was great and everything went perfect. The dives were the most beautiful ones I've ever done. It was pretty jaw-dropping. I'd definitely dive with them again. We felt safe and well taken care of. More

I recently went to Costa Rica With my 20 year old son. I'm 50 and recently became certified to dive. Over Christmas both of my kids took the Open water class. On this trip my son needed to do his open water dives to complete his certification. After extensive research here & on other sites I picked Oceans Unlimited. Having... More

I'm shocked by the other reviews of feeling "safe." Maybe much has changed since I was there. I will admit that I don't usually dive. I was certified at a younger age and this was my first time to scuba in a few years. I took a refresher course and headed out to Costa Rica. The male owner.....ehhh you can... More

I read a lot of reviews and was hesitant after seeing the negative ones but needed to see for myself so took a chance. My boyfriend and I are visiting Costa Rica for 2nd time and 2nd time diving here. Let me start off by saying that there are parts of Costa Rica that are breathtaking with beautiful beaches and... I had my first open water scuba experience with Oceans Unlimited last week and was very impressed with their attention to my safety, their enthusiasm for the sport, and the overall quality of our adventure. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do much diving because my ears wouldn't equalize under water, BUT I still had a great time hanging out on... More

I've been diving since 1984 and have experienced a lot of dive operations and I think Oceans Unlimited is one of the best. It is really well organized, the equipment (tho I brought most of my own) is NEW, the staff is very professional and all have the utmost respect for Bob the owner and captain of the boat. Exceptional... More

We saved our open water portion of our certification for Costa Rica and booked through Oceans Unlimited. Our instructor was Georgia. She was great and I was really glad to have a female instructor as my wife was very nervous. Georgia took charge, made us feel confident and even held my wife's hand for the first portion of the dive... More

Thank you guys for diving with us we are super happy that you enjoyed your experience. My only response is to the "tacked on $100" comment in your review. I apologize for the equipment issues we have already brought this up and will be improving on this in the future. The additional cost is for transport from Quepos to Dominical,... More
