Miguel Gambia is the best! His passion for the park comes through in his enthusiastic style. If you want to see animals, you've got to have a guide. With a trained eye and a spotting scope, we were able to see all the animals that were watching the tourists go by on the busy trails. This company looks and acts... More

We were so lucky to have Ricardo Rodriguez show us around the park! He pointed out everything from the tiniest insect to 30 lb monkeys high in the canopy. He even knew the animal calls and used them to encourage the wildlife to move, show their faces, etc. At one point he heard the cries of a baby sloth, found... More

We started down the path thinking we didn't want or need a guide in the national park when my wife made the executive decision to go back and splurge for a guide. Within 10 minutes, Ricardo Rodriguez had pointed out several things we had already blindly overlooked. Ricardo was fun, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. He made it very memorable.

We had an amazing adventure walking to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We opted for a guide on our walk and were lucky enough to get Flander from Manuel Antonio Tico Tours. Flander made the walk to the beach an unforgettable experience. He spotted animals and plants that we would not have seen, beautiful crabs, incredible... More

Our family went on a tour of Manuel Antonio with Ricardo Rodriguez. He was absolutely amazing and unbelievably knowledgable. We would be walking down a seemingly deserted path, and all of a sudden he would hear some sound (indiscernable to the rest of us) and say, "There! A baby sloth nursing on his mother!" Then we would all get to... More

Our hotel gave us a guided tour to Manuel Antonio Park with Tico Tours. Our guide was Miguel Gamboa. He was AMAZING! I watched some of the other guides and they were not nearly as passionate or patient as Miguel. The park itself was somewhat of a disappointment. The park allows WAY too many tours back to back so it... More

We went to Manuel Antonio on a Monday and the park was closed. As soon as we drove into town we were stopped by "parking hustlers." They told us the park was closed and if we wanted to go to the beach we had to park at their lot and pay $6.00. I read a post on Fodor's where someone... More

The tour of Manuel Antonio Park was very enjoyable. We saw sloth, Iguana, white face monkeys and birds... Our guide Efrain Vargas was recommended to us by a friend. He had sharp eyes to spot wildlife. He spoke fluent English, and was knowledgable and friendly. He also took us to Damas Island Mangrove and Rainmaker Park tours, which were fantastic... More

Efrain planned and guided our group of six people on a two week personalized tour of Costa Rica in Jan/Feb 2013. He is both a wonderful and kind person and a fantastic guide! We saw so many amazing places, including the Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Garden, La Fortuna, Cano Negro, Monteverde , the Cloud Forest, Manuel Antonio National Park,... More

We went with Ricardo- it was just 2 of us and him- on about a 45 minute walk into the national park. It was very helpful to have a guide to point out animals. He brought along a high powered telescope to show us bugs, monkeys, sloths, crabs, bees, etc. Without his knowledge, we would've seen some monkeys but would... More
