Just got back from our MA trip last week and can't stop thinking about all the fun we had. This is a must-do outing and one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica. Alfonso is a fabulous tour guide - definitely ask for him if you can. He's lived in the immediate area his entire life and he's...

At the recommendation of our hotel, we went on this horseback riding tour. The ride up to the ranch is very bumpy, but once you get up there the scenery is beautiful! If you do the full tour, you will be served breakfast (Costa Rican style breakfast, scrambled eggs and rice and beans, very yummy!) then you will venture out...

They were happy to stop so we could get some good pictures. When we arrived at the ranch we were greeted by the family, and served...

Unfortunately we went during low rain season, so the waterfall was just a trickle, yet we were able to swim in the little waterfall pool. The tour lasted about 2 hours both ways, horses bit slow, but that could be not knowing how to ride a horse. Food was ok. People very friendly
