Just got back from our MA trip last week and can't stop thinking about all the fun we had. This is a must-do outing and one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica. Alfonso is a fabulous tour guide - definitely ask for him if you can. He's lived in the immediate area his entire life and he's... More

At the recommendation of our hotel, we went on this horseback riding tour. The ride up to the ranch is very bumpy, but once you get up there the scenery is beautiful! If you do the full tour, you will be served breakfast (Costa Rican style breakfast, scrambled eggs and rice and beans, very yummy!) then you will venture out... More

After a scenic (and bumpy) half-hour drive, we arrived at Brisas del Nara and ate a wonderful breakfast (some of the most delicious eggs ever, fresh-squeezed orange juice, rice and beans). My 1-year old rode with my spouse and my 5-year old rode his own horse, which I hope will be a memorable experience for him. Most of the horseback... More

These folks sure give you a great time on these horses. If you have not ridden a horse before, not to worry, these guys will steer you right. The guide was very friendly and spoke great English. You start off with a typical Costa Rican breakfast - yum! We did the full tour which included a stop at a mountain... More

My daughter and I rode with Brisas del Nara on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. It was about a 30 min drive from the MA hotels along a progressively bumpy and small road to get to the ranch. Once there we were served Costa Rican breakfast and good coffee. The horses were quiet and well behaved but not the... More

The tour started with them picking us up in a tour van from our villa in Quepos. There was an english speaking guide that rode along and pointed out points of interest and wildlife. They were happy to stop so we could get some good pictures. When we arrived at the ranch we were greeted by the family, and served... More

We did the half day tour. Our 1 and 4 year olds rode with us, our 8year old rode a small horse. the horses were well trained and well cared for. the kids were required to wear helmets. Our guide was excellent and took us n an alternate route than normal so that we would have a safe spot to... More

Unfortunately we went during low rain season, so the waterfall was just a trickle, yet we were able to swim in the little waterfall pool. The tour lasted about 2 hours both ways, horses bit slow, but that could be not knowing how to ride a horse. Food was ok. People very friendly
