Let me preface our positive review by stating that Sharon and I are avid birders, and that I have been a professional in the outdoor recreation field for over forty years. We just completed an eight day customized birding tour with Roy, including visits to Braulio Carrillo National Park, La Selva Biological Station, Tapanti National Park and the Savegre Mountain... Our tour of Manuel Antonio with Roy was terrific. I finally saw a toucan! We saw a LOT of white faced monkeys and several spider monkeys. We had our own vehicle so Roy met us in Quepos and we followed him to the park entrance. He carried a large telescope with him the entire time and was able to spot... More

If you think you'll see Manuel Antonio National Park without a guide - think again. And plan ahead: book with ROY and he'll take you on the walk of a lifetime. Everyone sees monkeys and sloths, but does everyone see toucans, hear stories about termites in the trees, learn various bird calls, or spot bats and giant iguanas 200 feet... More

Roy arranged the most fantastic bird watching day trips for us when we were staying in Manuel Antonio. He took us to the cloud forest and we were able to watch a Resplendant Quetzal on the nest, as well as many other beautiful birds. Roy is extremely knowledgeable about the history, natural history, and birds of the areas he took... More

We went to Manuel Antonio Park during our visit to Quepos. If you go, trust me, you need a guide. As finding the sloths, birds, lizards, iguanas and other fascinating creatures are hard to find (if not close to impossible) without the knowledge of a good guide. Roy has a great persona and is extremely knowledgeable and his English is... More

My girlfriend had visited Costa Rica a couple of times for birding 10 years ago. Ever since we've started going out together, we've been talking about going there together, and prime among her favorite things about Costa Rica was the guide she'd been with back then, Roy Orozco. We were lucky enough to engage him for two days during this... More

Anyone thinking about going to Costa Rica, whether for 1 day by cruise ship, or for several weeks vacation, must book a tour with Roy! He is very knowledgeable about the area, about the wildlife - from the leaf-cutter ants to the monkeys. He is amazing at finding and identifying the birds of Costa Rica. We arrived at an off-time... Roy led us on a tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. He was friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell from the moment we met him that he takes pride in his work and his tours.
