Went out today 7/21 with John W. and Alex. First I'll write a small piece about the equipment. The boat is an older (restored) wooden boat that is really cool. It doesn't create a ton of prop wash when trolling which the captain believes enhances bait presentation. As a boat owner and tournament fisherman I agree with this, especially when... More

We fished with Captain John and Alex on 7/11. I was a little concerned since I made arrangements for a half day bottom fishing for meat and complete the day searching for a sailfish. We were immediately put on the spot once on the boat to choose either/or and strongly encouraged to go for sailfish and marlin. I can't say... More

Dang, sometimes the sailfishing and the bottom fishing are far apart, and this particular day, there was too much distance between the bottom and the billfish to be able to do both in the same day. 90 percent of the days the fishing is closer together and we can do both. Glad we could get you on the fish, I... More

The day started out early at 7 AM on the docks of Quepos. My buddy and I were heading out for some deep sea fishing, which I've never done before. I was looking forward to catching some fish and hopefully having dinner in Manuel Antonio prepared from our catch for the next couple of days. We were met at the... More

nothing like traveling thousands of miles and spending thousands of dollars to get skunked. Went offshore for a full day, hooked 1 sail, which "broke" a #100 leader. Sounded fishey to me. Got to watch all the boats around us hooked up to blue marlins but our boat never got it done. First mate, Alec, was not very friendly and... More

Sorry, Alex gets really upset when they lose. Don't know, it was a weird week offshore, it was Marlin or nothing. We released 5 big Marlin is 7 trips that week. Usually there are tons of sailfish and Mahi around so that when the Marlin don't bite, we still catch fish. Alex and John W have been skunked 4 times... More

The greatest fishing trip of my life!! I love to fish (mostly freshwater with a little saltwater in South Carolina). Six of us set out with Captain Johnny on what I expected to be a good time with a "fish on" every hour or so. WRONG!!!! After cruising out for about 45 minutes or so, Johnny said, "drop here". I... 6 of us booked an inshore full day with Captain Johnny for only $500! He explained to us that fishing had been slow inshore and offered to take us further out to the fish at no extra charge. Be had the best experience because of our Captain and the Quepos Fish Adventure. We all caught fish and brought home over... More

We had a great time spending the day on the water catching grouper, red snapper, and dorado. We trolled for a couple hours for bill fish and were not lucky enough to snag one, but the experience was fantastic. The crew was great. The boat was clean. Lunch was delicious. I recommend the whole day offshore if you're after billfish.... More

I booked a full day off shore and a half day inshore. Both boats were nice and clean. The rods and reels appeared new with fresh line. I knew going into both trips that it was the transition to the rainy season and not the best time for fishing. On the off shore trip I landed a 64" Mahi Mahi.... More

We had a great 1/2 day inshore fishing trip with Captain Mike & crew on the 32 foot Stress Reliever II. They were prompt leaving the pier, had plenty of refreshments and took us to seven fishing spots. We had had a hard rain the night before and the fishing wasn't the best. We did have a few bites and... More

I'm from Michigan and have booked a number of charters. This one is the best. I was very impressed by Johns quick response to questions via e-mail. Everything was right on time. Mike and Alex were very helpful and knowledgeable. Fishing was not the best, but we landed a sailfish. Better than nothing. That's how fishing is though.
