We used Carolyna to book several tours over a few days for our group of 10. She has access to great guides, is easy to work with, and if a pickup was late, she would follow-up to find out when they were arriving. We booked tours with other operators, too, but found Carolyna and her staff to be the most... More

This review is WAY overdue. My boyfriend and I actually travelled to Quepos in June of 2013, Trip Advisor's date menu did not go back that far :) and the staff at Jaime Peligro was extremely helpful. They booked our excursion with El Santuario Canopy Tours (a must do if you are interested in zip-lining), our Catamaran tour of Parque... More

After you get off the bus at Quepos bus terminal go next door to Jaime Peligro Book and CD Shop. Damian is very knowledgeable and can give you recommendations on where to go and how to get there. We were looking for information on getting from Quepos to Liberia using the bus. Also we needed information about Parque Nacional Santa... More

Damien was incredibly helpful and suggested two excellent tours for us - one in the mangroves and one on the catamaran boat tour. Both tours exceeded our expectations. Damien really knows his stuff. Ask him anything and he will give his honest opinion about where to eat, where to go, the weather patterns, etc. The books are reasonably priced. Some... More

Damien was a great help with our stay in Quepos/Manuel Antonio. My boyfriend and I wanted to do a walking guided tour into the national park to see wildlife and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. We had Edgar as a guide for the day. He was very knowledgeable with the local wildlife and was able to point... More

Jaime Peligro is a must-stop if you're visiting Quepos or Manuel Antonio. We lived in Quepos for about seven months and just recently returned for a visit, and we made sure to go by the book store. It's conveniently located right in the town center and by the bus station and has tons of great books in many languages, as... More

Need to find something to do in Costa Rica...STOP in here. Great local resource for activities and hotel/restaurant recommendations. They speak English and are very helpful. My husband and I were looking for a ATV tour and they set us up with the best company, www.safariadventurescr.com.

Apart from being a very useful bookshop, it is also a helpful travel agent. If you bare to listen to my story you might find it if not alarming slightly amusing. My wife and I had the tortuous task of getting from Quepos to Samara on the western coast of Necoya, in the middle of the week by public transport... More

This is a small gem. Mainly used books in English, and a selection of foreign titles and languages. As a long term visitor, I love the exchange program. Purchase your first book then bring it back and re-select any qualifying title for a minimal price. I would almost call it a lending library. Our household has probably read 15 +titles... More

This bookshop is really about the owner, Jaime is a kind and nice person who decided to open this used & rare books bookshop just a few meters from the Pacific coast. It was funny flickering around the shelves, trying to find something strange and unusual. We found something indeed, and also in Italian. It makes you wonder how many... More
