The offshore fishing is spectacular in the renownedly calm waters of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Offshore charters usually run 18-23 miles offshore unless the bite is on out at the furuno which is about 31 miles. This is a great tour for families as it is a great day out on the water with the opportunity to see Sea Turtles, Whales and lots of Dolphin. The Inshore fishing for Roosterfish which is the prize fighting fish here but you can also fish for snook, snapper, and Mackeral. Join us for the "Catch of a Lifetime!" « less

4/29/14, We had an awesome day of catching sailfish on board the Mad Marlin. Leanne was great about booking and coordinating the charter and was very helpful when our plans for a split charter fell through. My wife and I ended up with the boat to ourselves and it turned out to be the perfect trip. After an hour or... More

We had an Awesome time with Quepos Sailfishing Charters on MoonWalker. The crew of thre brothers were excellent. My wife, two daughters (aged 13 and 16), and myself enjoyed the trip. We got 7 sail fish (range of 8-12 feet) in the boat in a 3/4 day charter. The boat was extremly clean and well organized. The ride was very... More

My boyfriend and I went to Costa Rica for 10 days and he was so excited about our fishing charters. We did two full day charters one off shore and one inshore. Leanne was very good at emailing back and forth before our trip to make sure everything was set. Our first charter was off shore, Raffa was the captain... More

We had a two and a half week holiday in Costa Rica, two days of which I was fortunate enough to have a split charter on The Mad Marlin which I booked direct from England via Leanne Batten of Quepos Sailfishing Charters. Leanne was very prompt in her e-mail communications and everything went according to plan on the 2 days... More

We hired Quepos Sailfishing Charters, queposfishing.com/costa-rica-flyfishing.htm. for a full day of flyfishing for sailfish. The owner/manager, Leanne Batten set it all up and emailed me to review the trip and email her back..I did, stating we wanted flyfishing for sailfish, and wanted leaders, reels, rods, and flies. The guys we met who were fishing were hooking 10 sailfish a day,... More

First off let me apologize sincerely for this happenstance. I was in Panama on Saturday and got the news of my Step Fathers death. I had left the day to day charters that were scheduled to a dear friend in the travel and tourism business. When I spoke with him he had informed me that he made a reservation for... More

I have had good trips and bad ones but never written a review for a charter/guide before but my experience with these folks warrants it. We chartered the Kahuna through Leanne at Quepos Sailfishing. We hooked up with 14 - yes, 14 sails! Released 10 between two guys. I booked the trip in advance and everything was delivered exactly as... More

We charted a 33' boat with Quepos Sailfishing in December 2013. After doing our research we booked our trip with Quepos Sailfishing. Leanne was very prompt and professional with email communications. We felt very comfortable that we were dealing with a top notch company and we were so right! I would highly recommend this company for your fishing trip. My... More

I've fished at some of the best places on earth but have never had a deep water trip that compares. The day started on the slow side but changed in the early afternoon with my first sailfish. shortly after getting the lines back in the water we had 3 Dorado on at once which made for a great flurry of... My family and I had a great day of fishing for sailfish in the deep waters off Costa Rica. Things were slow at the beginning, and we boated around in search of sailfish. Finally, we had a couple of strikes, then five all at once. It was crazy, but fun. All in all, we landed 8 sailfish, one dorado (or... More
