An interesting location with a very freindly monkey called Sweetie. Not a great deal to see and you had to feel a little sorry for those animals in their cages though this couldn't really be helped I suppose. Fair play to the people that work there though, not an easy job. More

It is beautiful but it is humid. Bring light clothing that can be rinsed out easily. More

We were greeted by Assistants wearing glasses, carrying water bottles, baby animals, baby bottles, and decorated with scarlet macaw feathers. We were told that we could not wear glasses, carry water bottles, small children or babies because they would be ripped from us by the resident spider monkey. The Assistants, of course, were modeling all these behaviors. When you have small... More

We took a guided boat tour with a stop at the sanctuary. My friend and I had hiked in Corcovado and had seen a few animals along the way, but we were now with our yoga group and this gave everyone a chance to see some native "wild" life that they would not see along the beachfront. Carol, the Woman... More

I learned so much about the animals of Costa Rica. The workers are all passionate and knowledgable about the animals they are trying to save and rehabilitate. Of course, Sweetie, the spider monkey that asks to be scratched, is one of my favourites. More

This was my second visit to the Osa Wildlife Sanctuary, which speaks volumes. I never visit a place twice unless it is really remarkable. On this particular trip we - my husband and I - were accompanied by three adult sons and their partners, and I know that for each and every one of them, it was a significant part... More
