We started this lovely day with dolphins swimming about 30 feet from our kayaks before entering the lush mangroves. Alberto was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna as well as birds. His English is excellent and demeanor friendly and helpful. The fresh coconut and pineapple were such a nice touch. Definitely do this if you... More

Alberto, our guide, was the zen master of kayak trips on the estuary, so quiet yet informative. His kayak even moved through the water almost without noise and gracefully. When we saw a Roseatte Spoonbill close by, it never moved because he was so calm. Only the noise of my family pointing it out to each other resulted in it... More

Me and my bf have experienced the adventurous tour at Golfo Dulce with Alberto. We fall in love with the beautiful views of Mangrove forest. Alberto was very informative. I like how he loves nature and willing to grow some new plants on the beach to create a shadow, he is very attentive and responsive. Yes, the cutting coco was... More

William Delgado, owner operator of Aventuas Tropicales gave an extremely informative tour of the mangroves around his home. He pointed out many different species of birds, iguanas, white-faced capuchin monkeys and went into depth about how important the red and black mangroves were for the environment and to Costa Rica. He explained how his father had owned the land in... More

Among all the great experiences on our two week trip, our Sunset kayaking with Alberto stands out for world-class, once in a life time tours. Kayaking through mangroves, swimming in the warm Pacific. Paddling through heavy raindrops with the occasional lightning. Calm sea through the mist and fog. The paddel through bioluminiscence glitter and rounding off by swimming in the... More

We went on the mangrove kayak tour and it was great. Our guides, Laura and José were great at explaining all the different types of mangrove trees we found and we really enjoyed the coconut and pineapple on the beach half way through. What's great about this agency is that it's not in the main part of town so there... More

we took a kayak tour through mangroves with William our guide. It was a good experience. William is passionate about the area and very knowledgeable too. His family provided meal at the end of our tour which was wonderful. We got an education and saw many things we would never have seen by ourselves, including bats and a small boa... More

Kayaking trip with Alberto and Brian was relaxing and informative. We learned a lot about the wildlife in the mangroves and picked up some life skills! Midway through the tour, we stopped on a beach where Alberto demonstrated how to open a coconut on a deserted island. I was blown away. $40 USD/pp was well spent on this trip.

We took an afternoon kayaking trip through the primary and secondary mangroves with Bryan, who was outstanding! He shared his knowledge as we paddled, but also respected the quiet of the mangroves and knew when silence was important to spot birds and animals. We saw a royal tern, little blue heron, tri-colored heron, amazon kingfisher, and a troop of monkeys... More

The 4 days kayaking in the Gulfo Dulce with Alberto & his son Albertito was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We also had great stays in Monteverde and Nosara so this is saying a lot. We were interested in the natural and cultural history of the incredibly rich wilderness in the Osa. We wanted to... More
